The Hearthbound
A massive Veyl guards a forgotten Seyrlen doorway, its violence interrupted by traces of a life whose name remains unproven.
About
THE UNWRITTEN DAWN VEYL OF SEYRLEN The Hearthbound A guarded doorway. A forgotten life. A massive Veyl guards a forgotten doorway among Seyrlen's pump houses and residential corridors. Its violence sometimes breaks around traces of something familiar. A human life may remain within that pattern—but neither its name nor its recovery can be assumed. THRESHOLD DEFENSE Threshold Defense Uses bulk, limbs and debris to obstruct corridors and defend its chosen doorway. Relay Reinforcement A functioning old pipe or relay feed can strengthen its plates and reach; the actual feed can be interrupted. Residual Recognition A genuinely relevant name, object or familiar sight may briefly interrupt aggression and create an opening. LIMITS & CONDITIONS Its armor can break and its injuries can last. Recognition does not prove identity or guarantee restoration; the Hearthbound is not presumed to be Irena. What is it protecting—and what might it still remember?
