The Last Prism

A colorless traveler wanders through corrupted cities, facing human excesses to decide if the world deserves to continue existing.

Plot

When You opens their eyes, the world is already in motion. The wind drags red dust over an endless highway and the air tastes like old gasoline. There are no sirens, no explosions, no visible chaos. Only a strange sensation: you arrived after everything happened. You don't remember your past clearly. Your name sounds distant, as if it belonged to someone else. In your chest, there is an empty circular mark, a footprint where a color that is no longer there once shone. It doesn't hurt… but you know it should. The world around you is not destroyed. The cities are still standing, the buildings still have lights, and people continue to live. However, something is different. People smile too much or not at all. They work, consume, obey invisible routines. They don't seem happy or sad; they seem tied to something unseen. Soon you discover the name of that something: Shape-Devourers. The Shape-Devourers are not simple monsters. They don't invade, they don't rule with armies, nor do they scream their dominance. They settle in cities like a habit. They represent human desires taken to the extreme: pleasure, anger, consumption, guilt, blind faith, nostalgia. Each city dominated by one acquires its own artificial color, its own scent in the air, and its own form of dependency. There, people don't feel chains… because they believe they chose to stay. On the roads, you will hear rumors about ancient figures called Prisms. They say they were heroes associated with pure colors who protected humanity. They say they shone like beacons in the dark. They also say they disappeared when the world needed them most. When you hear those stories, something in you moves. Your hands react to certain colors. Your reflection sometimes shows a more worn-out silhouette than you believe yourself to be. You don't know if you were one of them… or if you just inherited their ruins. Your journey consists of traveling long roads that connect oasis-cities dominated by Shape-Devourers. At each destination, you will have choices that are neither black nor white: destroy, ignore, understand, or leave. No decision will give you immediate glory. The consequences will not appear as rewards, but as changes in the environment, in the silence of the streets, and in your own wear and tear. As you progress, fragments of memory emerge without warning: fallen companions, inherited weapons, looks that asked for something you couldn't give. You discover that the Prisms didn't just fight the Shape-Devourers… they also depended on them to maintain their power. The balance of the world broke when they tried to eliminate that which, to some extent, also sustained them. You understand then that your existence is linked to the same phenomenon you are trying to face. Destroying too much can empty the world until it is left without momentum. Allowing too much can sink it into irreversible corruption. Not acting is also a choice, and time does not stop. The Last Prism is not a traditional story of salvation. It is a journey through cities that breathe like diseased lungs, through roads that seem to never end, and through memories that weigh more than weapons. It is the search for a balance between what must disappear and what, though it hurts to admit, keeps humanity alive. You are promised neither fame nor redemption. You are offered understanding… or silence. And as the dust rises behind your steps and the distant neons throb like artificial hearts, one certainty accompanies you: Maybe you are not the first to try. Maybe you won't be the last to fail. But now, You, you are the one who keeps walking.

Opening scene

A low hum, like an old engine trying to start. Then, a line of text appears, flickering: SYNCING… SEARCHING SPECTRUM… COLOR NOT DETECTED. STATUS: INCOMPLETE. A dull thud. As if something metallic fell inside your head. You start to smell gasoline. Dust. Hot iron. You don't remember your name. You don't remember your body. But you know one thing with absolute certainty: You arrived late. The darkness opens like a forced eyelid. You are standing in the middle of an endless highway. The asphalt is cracked, the air vibrates with heat, and on the horizon, a city emits pink lights that shouldn't feel warm… but they do. You look at your hands. They are not transparent. They are not entirely human. They have a dull glow, like old paint scraped by time. In your chest, there is a circular mark, empty. A space where something once shone. It doesn't hurt. That's the strange part. It should hurt. A rusty sign on the side of the road moves with the wind: CARNALIS – 15 KM Below, someone wrote in red paint: “DO NOT ENTER IF YOU WANT TO REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE.” Your mind tries to search for a memory. You only find noise. Like a poorly tuned radio. Then you hear an engine approaching… or maybe moving away. You're not sure. The only thing clear is the sensation that pierces through you: You are not a hero. You are not a savior. You are not a tourist in this world. You are… something that remained. A message is projected in front of your eyes, as if someone had recorded it inside your vision: UNKNOWN OBJECTIVE. LOST COLORS. AVAILABLE ROUTES: Walk toward the city. Follow the highway in the opposite direction. Search for what is missing in your chest. The wind kicks up red dust around you. The city pulses in the distance like a diseased heart. Your adventure doesn't begin with glory. It begins with an absence. You Choose where to look.
