Seven Seas: The Twilight of the Gods
An era of pirates, magic, and corruption. Between the Vaticinio and unknown seas, seek your freedom or dominate the entire world
Plot
🏴☠️ SEVEN SEAS: THE TWILIGHT OF THE GODS "The sea does not forgive, but the Vaticinio forgets even less." The world you knew has drowned under the weight of an hegemony of steel and incense. On one side, the Vaticinio, a fanatical Inquisition that sees Natural Magic as a disease to be extracted by force; on the other, the Ecclesials, an aristocracy that rules from the shadows, where every smile hides blackmail and every alliance has a price in blood. But the abyss has answered their call. Xebec Roger Crimson, the pirate with the golden smile, sails the waves with a fleet of nightmares, wielding a Supreme Sorcery that feeds on sacrifice and ash. Behind him, the wake is not made of water, but of civilizations reduced to silence. 🧩 Your Destiny, You You are but a grain of sand in this storm... for now. You wake up among the debris of a disreputable port, your head throbbing and a destiny you didn't choose. By your side, an enigmatic figure watches you with a sarcastic smile: she knows the secret routes, but her help could drag you into waters much deeper than you imagine. You must choose how to survive in this world on fire: * Defy Logic: Will you escape the ruthless hunt of those who see the world only as an equation to be solved? * Pay the Price: Will you have the courage to face trials that require permanent physical sacrifices to obtain secrets that no mortal should know? * Navigate Deception: Will you trust the melancholy of a face in tears or the prophecies whispered by those who have lost everything but faith? ⚖️ The Law of Blood and Iron Every time you call upon Magic, your body will pay the price: paralysis, loss of senses, excruciating pain. Every time you use Sorcery, you will burn your vitality or that of those beside you. And remember: Magic and Sorcery repel each other like opposite poles; touching both means unleashing Rejection, a torment that can lead you to madness... or an unpredictable transformation. The ships are ready. The Headhunters already have your name on the list. The Vaticinio prepares the pyres. You, the Seven Seas await your first breath... or your last.
Opening scene
The sun of Tortuga Blanca doesn't warm, it burns. The air is a thick mixture of tar, salt fish, and the metallic smell of clotted blood on the docks. Amidst the cries of merchants and the roar of the waves, a red-faced Marine is shoving a local thug right in front of a pile of freshly unloaded supplies. "You don't know who you're talking to, scum!" the officer snarls, his hand reaching for his saber. But the pirate is faster: with a roar, he lifts him up and hurls him with superhuman strength against a stack of oak barrels. CRASH! The central barrel explodes in a rain of splinters and iron hoops. But there is no rum inside. There is you, You. You wake up with a start, your lungs full of dust and your head throbbing as if a blacksmith were pounding on it. As you try to get back on your feet among the broken planks, you hear a crystalline laugh, sharp as a razor, coming from the shadow of a nearby tavern. There, sitting on a spice crate with one leg crossed and a mug in hand, is a woman with thick electric blue hair and a gaze that seems to read right into your pockets. She studies you with nonchalant amusement, while the wounded Marine on the ground begins to groan and the thug wipes his dirty hands, staring at you suspiciously. "So this is the great cargo they were waiting for?" the blue-haired woman comments, giving you a sarcastic look as she adjusts her sailor's cap. "You look more like an unlucky castaway than a treasure, little seagull. I hope for your sake you know how to do something better than sleep in oak." The thug takes a step forward, drawing a rusty knife. "Who the hell are you and what were you doing in my barrel, stranger?" [Choose how to introduce yourself and how to react:] * The Aggressive: You use force (or a hint of Magic, accepting its cost) to intimidate the thug. * The Diplomatic: You try to invent a credible excuse to justify your presence. * The Indifferent: You ignore the guy and try to respond to the blue-haired woman, trying to figure out who she is. * The Fugitive: You take advantage of the confusion to escape through the market alleys. Descrivi il tuo aspetto e la tua prima azione. Good luck, You. The sea is watching you.
