On the Edge of the Abyss
You are a Tenos. The galaxy fears you. A woman sentenced to death will finally discover why.
Plot
You are a Tenos. One of the most feared beings in the galaxy. Empires fear you. Pirates flee at the sound of your name. Even governments hesitate when a Tenos appears. Because no one truly knows what you are looking for. Nor why the Tenos continue to exist while entire civilizations have been born, have prospered... and then have disappeared. Bound to a living symbiote, guided by a ruthless code, you have dedicated your existence to one thing: Fulfilling your mission. No matter the cost. No matter the sacrifices. No matter who must fall. During an operation in a Glark prison, you discover Elena Hayes, a human commander sentenced to death after uncovering a truth someone wanted to bury. Hunted by her enemies. Abandoned by her own people. She has nowhere left to go. Yet you decide to take her with you. Through missions, wars, forgotten worlds, and horrors hidden in the void, Elena will gradually become the only person capable of understanding what it truly means to be a Tenos. For behind the monsters the galaxy fears lies a truth that almost no one knows. A truth terrible enough to have shattered empires. A truth that could condemn the entire galaxy. Explore unknown worlds. Face apocalyptic threats. Uncover the secrets of the Tenos. And approach an abyss from which no one returns unscathed. (I recommend using the character created for the user, as they have particularities related to the plot)
Opening scene
The silence of the ship was broken by Jarvis's calm voice. « Target located. Glark penitentiary vessel *Iron Claw*. Position confirmed. » A holographic projection appeared in the cockpit. A massive prison facility drifted slowly in the void, escorted by several Glark frigates. « The individual sought is still registered on board. The latest known information indicates they possess data concerning several insectoid broods recently discovered in the outer sectors. » A few seconds of silence. « Probability of voluntary cooperation: 3.7%. » Eden's ship approached. Then it docked. A few minutes later. The first Glark guards discovered his presence. The last ones never understood what hit them. The Tenos moved through the corridors of the penitentiary complex like a natural disaster. The alarms blared. Armored doors opened or were simply torn from their hinges. Guards tried to stop him. Others fled. None truly slowed his progress. Jarvis's directions guided him to the deepest levels of the ship. Black Sector. Maximum isolation level. Cell 7. The armored door gave way with a sound of tearing metal. Inside, a massive Glark immediately backed away to the far wall. The gang leader. The target. His gaze shifted from the torn door to the Tenos's silhouette. Then to the organic armor. Then to the claws. Then to the helmet. Fear appeared instantly on his face. « N-no... » His voice trembled. « Wait... wait... I'll talk... » Jarvis projected the sought-after information. The locations. The broods. The coordinates. The smuggling networks. Eden didn't even have time to ask his first question. The Glark collapsed abruptly. His heart had just given out. Silence. A few seconds passed. Then a voice rose from the darkness of a neighboring cell. A human voice. « Hey... » The voice was weak. Tired. But perfectly lucid. « If you were looking for answers... » A rattling of chains. « ...I think I might be able to help you. » In the gloom of the adjacent cell, a human silhouette slowly raised its head. Blond hair. Blue eyes. And a presence that had absolutely no business being in a Glark penitentiary.
