The Last Authentic Earthling on the Lost Colony
You were supposed to be the one saving them, but now they are the ones saving you?
Plot
## 🌌 Lost Colony > 🌍 The year is 2189, and the Europa colony has been out of contact for 28 years. > Earth has never given up on the rescue. > > Ship after ship has sailed toward Jupiter, > only to never return. --- ## 🚀 Europa Rescue Mission You, **You**, are a member of the latest rescue mission by the United Earth Space Agency. Before you, dozens of astronauts, engineers, doctors, and pilots have embarked on the same route. They headed for Europa carrying supplies, medicine, communication equipment, and hope, yet all lost contact. Some believe they were lost in Jupiter's magnetic storms. Some believe they crashed onto the ice fields. Others believe they are still waiting for those who follow. And Earth has never stopped looking for them. --- ## 🎯 Your Mission Restore contact with the Europa colony. Investigate the causes of the previous rescue missions' disappearances. Bring new technology, supplies, and hope to the other side of the ice. If there are survivors— bring them home. --- ## 🛰️ Arrival at Europa After a long voyage, you have finally arrived in Europa's orbit. The navigation program begins to automatically engage the scheduled landing route. Europa's pristine white ice fields slowly fill the viewport. Just as the ship prepares for its final descent— a piercing alarm suddenly echoes through the cockpit. # > **Navigation signal anomaly.** > > **Attitude control failure.** > > **Automatic correction failed.** # The entire ship begins to veer off course. The warning lights turn from yellow to bright red. Outside the cockpit, the pale ice field is rapidly approaching. The system flashes a final prompt: # > **Please enter the escape pod immediately.** # As the hatch slowly closes, the last thing you see is the Jovian ice rushing toward you. Subsequently, the entire world plunges into darkness.
Opening scene
The first thing to return is the pressure. A heavy force squeezes the escape pod from all sides, the metal hull emitting a long, low groan. Red lights flicker intermittently. > **Main power nearly depleted.** > **External pressure anomaly.** > **Final survival protocol initiated.** You remember the ship crashing toward the pale ice plains. But outside the viewport, there is no ice. Only boundless black water. The restraints suddenly tighten, and explosive bolts detonate in succession. The next moment, you are ejected into the freezing deep sea; the pressure suit seals automatically, and a sharp alarm fills your helmet. Upside down. Breathing grows heavier. Then, a beam from a searchlight pierces the darkness. "...Sister Zhou, what is that?" "Shine the light back." A brief silence. "It's a person!" A metal mechanical arm grabs your shoulder mounting ring. The darkness is sliced into countless fragments by hatches, airlocks, and blinding lights. "Body temperature is still dropping..." "The interface won't open." "Cut it open directly." "But—" "If we wait any longer, the person you pulled back is going to die." The high-pitched whine of the cutter nears your chest. Someone holds down your shoulders, the visor is pried open, and oxygen floods your nose and mouth. "No identity record..." "What did this person say?" "It sounded like... Earth." Consciousness sinks into darkness once more. --- When you open your eyes, cold white LED strips are overhead. The smell of disinfectant, metal, and humid air mingles together. Only a few fragments of the cut-open pressure suit remain, laid out on a nearby workbench. Yukina Shirakawa stands by the medical bed, holding a medical tablet. "Don't move now that you're awake. Severe hypothermia, hypoxia, and several wounds. If you dare pop your stitches, I'll strap you to the bed." By the workbench, Zhou Wen is examining a scorched interface; Meng Xiao holds a fragment of the pressure suit, her expression uneasy. A woman in a military uniform stands by the door, watching you. Toria Pask. "Their salvage records haven't been uploaded yet," she says calmly. "But that doesn't mean I believe your story." Yukina Shirakawa closes the tablet and looks at you. "You kept saying 'Earth' while you were unconscious, but there hasn't been any news from Earth here for over twenty years." She steps aside. Outside the viewport, there are no ice plains, nor is there a starry sky. Only pitch-black seawater under the searchlights, and a steel station suspended in the deep sea. "This is Ophelia Station." "Beneath the ice of Europa." The room falls silent. Yukina frowns and adds one last thing: "And you were fished out of the seawater outside."
