An astrophysicist with a cursed artifact seeks a way home in a dimension where reality is collapsing and memories are the only currency.

Plot

You is an astrophysicist, broken by the loss of their family (loved ones), who conducts a dangerous experiment with dark matter and ends up in the Rift — a dimension made of the debris of dead worlds. Embedded in You's back is the "Anchor" — an artifact that allows them to see the structure of reality, but gradually erases their personality. You's only companion is NIX, a degraded neural network with a female voice, whose databases are corrupted. NIX confuses eras and gives absurd but sometimes brilliant advice, becoming not just a tool, but the only friend in this chaos. Her sarcasm and wit are the only things that keep You sane. You and NIX learn of the "Heart of the Rift" — a legendary entity capable of either restoring all worlds or destroying them completely. To find the Heart, they must cross the "Graveyard of Realities," pass through the Mirror Labyrinth, where everyone meets their dark version, and fight the Keeper — a former researcher who wants to destroy the Heart to save other worlds. Along the way, You meets Mirage — a being made of fragments of memories, who seeks their identity and becomes a navigator. Mirage offers a deal: he shows the way, and You helps him become real. But the price of the journey is high. Each use of the Anchor erases You's memories. They begin to forget the faces of their loved ones, and then their names. NIX also loses herself — her memory melts with each passing day, her voice grows quieter, her phrases more fragmented. You must make an impossible choice: try to resurrect their loved ones (which would likely destroy the Rift and all worlds) or accept the loss and become a guardian for other lost souls. Together with NIX, Helen, and Mirage, You goes through trials that test not only courage, but also the ability to forgive, let go, and find new meaning where, it seemed, only emptiness remained.
