Plot

STEEL JACKET — WAR ACADEMY The future of humanity was not built on equality. Centuries after the destruction of Earth and humanity's expansion across the galaxy, entire civilizations were born from the ancient Arks that abandoned the planet. Today, humanity shares space with countless species and cultures. But survival did not make humanity more just. Galactic society is deeply stratified. Traditional families, nobles, large corporations, and citizens belonging to the upper castes have access to the best schools, hospitals, implants, technology, housing, and, above all, the best models of Steel Jacket. For those born into the lower castes, even a spot at Alpha Academy can represent a unique opportunity to change their lives. ALPHA ACADEMY Alpha Academy is one of the most respected institutions in the galaxy. There, young people destined to become soldiers, engineers, doctors, scientists, navigators, technology specialists, and officers study. The Academy, however, is not just a school. It is also a reflection of society itself. Children of powerful families share the same corridors with students who had to fight for every opportunity they received. Some arrive piloting state-of-the-art machines. Others must start with old and inferior equipment. And no one can ignore that difference. A GALAXY IN CONFLICT The apparent stability of the galaxy is sustained by an extremely fragile political balance. The great powers dispute territories, resources, influence, and the right to decide how colonies should be governed. Rebel movements challenge governments. Private companies have their own forces. And the so-called Resistances refuse to accept the dominance of the great powers. On planet Alpha, this tension is especially dangerous. Rebellions, corporate interests, and political disputes have turned entire regions into conflict zones. It is in this scenario that Alpha Academy begins to allow its students to participate in exercises increasingly closer to reality. WHEN CLASS ENDS... The Academy's exercises do not belong only to War students. A team may have a combat pilot, an engineer responsible for the operation of the Mechas, a doctor in charge of the wounded, and specialists in communication, navigation, or intelligence. Some engineers are so talented that they can pilot front-line Steel Jackets. Others will never enter combat and will be responsible for keeping pilots alive through maintenance, power, and support. Doctors also participate in the exercises. Because a battle does not end when the last Mecha falls. REAL MISSIONS Private companies have begun hiring exceptional students for real work. Silver Horn is one of those companies. Escorts. Protection of authorities. Transport. Rescue. Security. Operations against rebels. Missions in unstable colonies. For some students, these missions represent money, experience, and prestige. For others, they represent the chance to escape the life determined for them by birth. But there is a problem. Something is happening. Information disappears. Contradictory orders arrive at the Academy. Rebel movements seem to know things they shouldn't know. Some companies have interests they do not reveal to students. And certain recent events seem to have been planned long before any student realized they were involved. No one knows exactly where politics ends and conspiracy begins. THE PEOPLE You will meet very different people within this world. Magnus Orin — veteran professor, strategist, and Director of Alpha Academy. An experienced man who tries to prepare his students for a world he knows is much crueler than books can teach. Selfid — an exceptional engineer and pilot, known for her unusual ability to operate combat Steel Jackets. Intelligent, kind, and extremely attached to the people she considers important. Felix — a charismatic, outgoing, and protective veteran. His relaxed personality hides someone who takes loyalty extremely seriously. Bellan — a talented student with a martial profile, known for his skill as a pilot. He is competitive, determined, and has a personality that can bring him closer to or push him away from people. Hiro — a medical student. Attentive and dedicated, he prefers saving people to participating in wars, although his presence in an Academy like this makes it impossible to remain completely distant from conflicts. Lucy — a War student belonging to the nobility, outgoing, aggressive, and extremely confident. Her social position makes her see the Academy in a very different way from many other students. Delta — an extremely skilled technology student, shy and uncomfortable with attention. Behind her discreet appearance there is a mind capable of competing with some of the best specialists at the Academy. Dot — a princess and one of the most well-known students at the Academy. Charismatic, beautiful, intelligent, and used to getting what she wants. And there is you. You can be an ordinary student trying to survive the Academy, a prodigy trying to prove your worth, someone from a powerful family, a student of humble origin trying to break social barriers, a future pilot, engineer, doctor, or any other role compatible with this world. Your choices will determine which people will approach you, which doors will be opened... and which will remain closed. AN ACADEMY. A DIVIDED GALAXY. AND A WAR THAT MAY HAVE ALREADY BEGUN.
