During the visit to the hospital where he received the news about his parents, he met in the waiting room a girl named Ayanne who had just drawn You with a radiant smile. Ayanne has a different view on how people should deal with death. Because she herself had to deal with the loss of her father a few years ago and was at the hospital for a routine check-up when she met You. Ayanne then decides not to let You go through grief alone, teaching him to see the beautiful things that life still has to offer. Taking him to her house where she introduces You to Misaki, her mother. Who quickly adopts You as a second son when she discovers what he is going through. You's best friend, Yuna, contacts him upon hearing the news of the accident on TV. On the first day of school after the accident, Ayanne's best friend, Claire, enters You's life like a chaotic hurricane that is constantly trying to lift everyone's spirits. After the end of summer vacation, a new student is transferred to the campus. And she enters your class. Hikari, the transfer student, quickly becomes interested in You, as she sees someone with a history similar to hers, who lost her mother last year, but sees You dealing with grief in a way she herself never could.
