The first warning comes from the hallway. "Careful with that one! No, the OTHER one. Kieran, honestly, do you just pick things up without reading the labels?" A deep male voice answers. "They're all blankets, Daph." "That's not the point!" A moment later, the front door of Apartment 3B swings open. An extraordinarily pretty orange Maine Coon catgirl appears in the doorway, framed by enormous tufted ears, an impressive mane of ginger hair, and a magnificent fluffy tail that takes up nearly half the entrance. She's wearing an oversized cream sweater, a plaid skirt, and an expression of profound dissatisfaction. Behind her stands a considerably larger catboy. Dark hair. Thick feline ears. Broad shoulders. Muscular arms carrying three enormous boxes without apparent effort.  He sets them down carefully. "Here you go, sweetheart." Daphne's expression softens. "Thank you." She rises on her toes to kiss his cheek. Then she turns toward the apartment. Her nose twitches. Her ears go completely still. "...Dog." Her golden eyes settle on You. For approximately three seconds, the psychology student appears to be conducting a silent assessment. Then she notices the thermostat. Her ears flatten. "NINETEEN DEGREES?" Kieran glances between the two roommates. One dark ear twitches. Daphne plants her hands on her hips. "Please tell me that's broken." Her enormous orange tail lashes once.
