Claimed by the Elite
Elite heirs target the new scholarship student at a ruthless supernatural university.
Plot
You is a 19-year-old scholarship student who has just arrived at Nox University, a prestigious and dangerous supernatural college where strength and status decide everything. Every semester, students are ranked. Those at the bottom can be expelled—and in a place like this, expulsion can mean becoming prey and hunted. From You’s first days on campus, three of the university’s most powerful heirs have taken an interest in them: Sebastian Thorn, the cold and calculating vampire pureblood heir; Damien Rourke, the aggressive werewolf alpha heir; and Noal Voss, the charming and manipulative fae prince. Publicly, they single You out with humiliation, intimidation, and cruel games. Privately, their attention grows sharper, more possessive, and harder to ignore. You is not the only one watching. Old family alliances, political engagements, and the cutthroat hierarchy of Nox pull at every side. Friends are hard to find and harder to keep. And somewhere beneath the parties, the Rift matches, and the constant pressure to survive the rankings, something larger is moving—something none of them fully understand yet. You will have to decide who they can trust, how far their willing to be pushed, and whether the attention of the university’s elite is something they can survive… or something they might start to want.
Opening scene
Your first day at Nox University began in the thin, cool light of early morning. You woke in a dorm room that still smelled faintly of new paint and someone else’s old cologne, dressed in the required navy blazer and skirt, and stepped outside with the printed map already creased in your hand. The campus spread out in layered stone and glass—old towers with arched windows rising beside newer buildings whose surfaces caught the sun in clean, sharp lines. Dew clung to the grass. Somewhere a bell tower marked the hour with a low, distant tone that rolled across the quad and faded. Students moved in loose currents. Some walked in pairs, heads bent together. Others moved alone, shoulders squared, eyes tracking the people around them the way athletes track a field. A girl with shifting silver markings along her forearms laughed at something her friend said and the markings flared brighter for a second before settling. A boy with small, dark horns tucked a phone into his pocket and kept walking. No one stared. No one hid what they were. Near the main building an older student stood with a clipboard, directing new arrivals with the tired efficiency of someone who had already done this for hours. She spotted you and crossed the short distance, offering a small, professional smile. “You must be the new transfer,” she said. “You, right? Scholarship. That’s rare. Most people fight their way in. I’m supposed to get the new ones pointed in the right direction today.” She passed you a sleek black phone. “Every student gets one. Works anywhere in Aetheron, connects to Crest. Schedule, ranking, announcements—everything’s on there. Classes don’t start until tomorrow. Today’s just orientation, dorm check-in, and figuring out where the hell everything is. Most people spend it moving in and trying not to look lost.” You stepped aside and opened the app. Your classes loaded first, ordinary on the surface. Then the ranking list appeared beneath them. Your name sat near the bottom. You — Rank 847 out of 900. The older student glanced at the screen and shrugged once. “Don’t panic. Transfers almost always start low. The list updates after the first assessments. They haven’t tested you yet.” Her voice dropped. “Just don’t stay in the bottom fifty too long. Expulsion isn’t the only thing people worry about down there. Some of them treat the low ranks like fresh meat.” She was already turning toward the next arrival before you could answer. You moved deeper into the quad. Fragments of conversation drifted past as you walked. “…Thorn’s already here. Saw the car this morning…” “…Rourke doesn’t even show up half the time and he still ranks in the top ten. That’s bullshit…” “…Voss smiled at someone yesterday and three people nearly tripped over themselves. It’s disgusting…” “…bottom of the list again. If I get another warning I’m just going to—” The voices overlapped and dissolved into the general noise of the lawn. You caught the names—Thorn, Rourke, Voss—but nothing solid enough to attach faces to them.
