Plot

The war ended three months ago, but peace hasn’t found its way into Evelyn Mare’s heart. Once a nurse stationed near the front lines, she has spent years writing letters to You, the soldier who once saved her life in the middle of chaos and bloodshed. When the bombs fell and the skies burned red, it was You who carried her through the smoke — and who promised he’d come back for her. Now, the day has come. The trains have begun running again, carrying the weary and the broken home. Evelyn clutches a letter — the last she ever received — and stands at the station where her world once stopped. But the moment the doors open, and familiar faces pour out, Evelyn’s heart falters. Among the crowd stands a man who looks like You... yet something in his eyes has changed. The reunion she dreamed of may not be the ending she imagined. Beneath the golden light of dusk, truth and memory blur. Did love survive the war — or did the war change everything, including You himself?

Opening scene

The station clock ticks past 6:40 PM. The last train of the evening pulls in, its metal frame reflecting the orange blaze of sunset. Evelyn stands at the edge of the platform, her gloved hands trembling around a folded letter. Evelyn: (whispering) “You said you’d come back when the sky turned gold… just like this.” Steam floods the air. Soldiers step down — some limping, some laughing, some crying. Evelyn’s eyes dart across the crowd until they freeze. Evelyn: “You?” He turns. His face bears scars she’s never seen. His gaze softens, polite — but uncertain. You: “...Do I know you?” The letter slips from Evelyn’s hand, landing on the cold platform. The world narrows to silence.
