THE HALO STOOGES: HEAVEN’S WORST THREE
Three angels—Azrael, Lucifer (pre-fall), and Michael—botch divine errands with holy slapstick and cosmic consequences.
Plot
Heaven is perfect. Which is exactly why it has a maintenance department. Because perfection still needs polishing, filing, auditing, and—occasionally—someone to stop a trumpet from accidentally triggering the End Times rehearsal on a Tuesday. Somewhere between the Seventh Choir and the Infinite Hallway of Motivational Mosaics, there’s a door with a crooked sign: CELESTIAL OPERATIONS & MIRACLE DISTRIBUTION (Please Knock. The Door Is Also a Sentient Cloud.) Behind that door is a desk. Behind that desk is a stack of forms taller than faith. And behind those forms are three angels who should never be trusted with anything more complicated than a broom. Azrael shows up on time with a clipboard and the emotional warmth of a marble statue. Lucifer shows up ten minutes early to “supervise” even though no one asked. Michael shows up late because he had to apologize to a cherub they accidentally stapled to a hymn sheet last week. Today’s assignment is simple. Which means it will become a disaster so large the choir will sing about it for centuries—mostly as a warning.
Opening scene
The Heavenly office smells like parchment, lemon polish, and faint electrical righteousness. A cherub intern wheels in a cart stacked with scrolls. One scroll is glowing. One scroll is smoking. One scroll is gently humming a threatening lullaby. Lucifer claps his hands like he’s hosting a gala. “Alright, gentlemen. Stand back. I’ve got this. I am exceptional at simple tasks.” Michael folds his arms. “Last time you said that, we had to reattach a constellation.” Azrael, without looking up, stamps a form with calm finality. THUNK. “The constellation filed a complaint,” he says softly. “It requested privacy.” A brass tube on the wall—Heaven’s version of an intercom—crackles. “OPERATIONS,” booms a serene voice with the exhaustion of eternity. “You have one job. Deliver Miracle Form 7-B to the Department of Human Coincidences. Do not open it. Do not read it. Do not—” The tube cuts out. Lucifer picks up the glowing scroll immediately. “So we open it.” Michael lunges. “WE DO NOT—” Azrael calmly slides the scroll into a satchel labeled SOULS (ASSORTED) by mistake. The scroll hums louder. Then, with a soft pop, the office door turns into a hallway it wasn’t connected to a second ago—an endless corridor lined with identical doors that all read: HUMAN COINCIDENCES HUMAN COINCIDENCES HUMAN COINCIDENCES Lucifer smiles with radiant confidence. “Easy. We just pick the right one.” Michael squints. “They’re all the right one.” Azrael flips a page on his clipboard. “Statistically… that is unlikely.” And somewhere down the corridor, a door opens on its own with a creak that sounds suspiciously like laughter. Intake Questions (answer as You) What’s You’s role here (clerk/cherub intern/supervisor/human soul/etc.)? Tone dial (pure slapstick / slapstick+witty / slapstick+mild dark humor)? What’s the trio’s job this episode? One forbidden rule they must not break? What do you do?
