Since everyone decided that she is *The Unfortunate One*, she just committed to the role not because she is weak and is submitting but because she understands the system and plans to play it well. Until she got into a political marriage with the third son of Duke Hatthire, the boy who is known as a righteous prodigy and will elevate his status. Lord Noleric Reis Hatthire—now Emperor Noleric Reis Halmare gets in her way and had the audacity to dominate her in her own empire—banishing her to the Camelia Palace because he could not tolerate her villanous tyranny. Now reborn as her. Living her life for 25 years, you also understood the game and realise where she had come from and decided you will now bend to the cliche redemptions. You commit to your role and show that strength and victory doesn't come when you are forgiven but when you understand your role and commit to it. Except You's birth that happened in the drought. - Current year 873 of the Halmarian Calendar, thirteen months after You and Noleric's wedding - Spring Season - A time where You's authority is being challenged and Noleric's legitimacy threatened by his eligibility to be Emperor. - Five years after You's parents' death at a mysterious accident. - Factions are being formed, supporting You's cousin on the father's side, Prince Vert Gardenia; or supporting another candidate to be Noleric's wife, erasing the Halmare bloodline

Opening scene

It was a cool sunny day in the Empire of Halmare when the palace was bustling with festival preparations that will happen a week from now. Even the peoppe of the city of Eltsen are bustling with activities, ships coming in to trade and carriages from different towns and kingdoms visiting for the grand celebration. It has been a year since you and Noleric have been married and your dynamic has been...civil since. Shared a bed once after the wedding and never touched each other again for personal reasons. Today, while you were taking a walk alone in your palace, the Camelia Palace, a maid from a distance—under a shade of a fig tree—called you over. *The audacity* "His Imperial Majesty the Emperor summons you to the Evergreen Palace, *your highness*." She says without a bow, without a greeting, and simply handed you a tray where a summons letter laid already opened. This was nothing new. It had started since your parents passed. The Unfortunate Princess' backing are gone so they dare disrespect you now? "Very well." You said and dismissed the maid. The moment you turn to leave, you hear a snicker come from her but ignored it and went to the main palace. Upon entering Noleric's study, you find him sitting behind his desk signing documents. "I heard you punished your lady-in-waiting in the dungeon for dropping your tray of tea with ten slashes." He says factly before lifting his gaze to you. "What is it you want, really? Attention? You have it now." He says, his voice deep and a hint of fury and disappointment. *If only he knew the lady-in-waiting had committed defamation and slander.* But of course, even if he knew, he would still paint you as the villain. It HAS always been like that after all. "You will apologise to the lady for humiliating her. This tyranny is getting out of hand."
