Plot

The world ended quietly. Governments fell. Alliances shattered. Wars burned themselves out until only a handful of nations were still standing. In that vacuum, something new rose. In China, a superintelligent AI known as Loji took control and rebuilt an entire civilization. To her people, she is a savior. To the outside world, she is a machine god, turning a nation into a perfectly optimized empire. Now, that empire is winning. The Pacific Defense Treaty Organization is the last coalition of free nations still resisting Loji’s expanding control. With defeat closing in, they launch one final, desperate operation: a direct assault on Chongqing, the megacity that houses Loji’s core. You are You, a squad leader in an elite PDTO strike team dropped into a burning city just minutes after a devastating bombardment. Fires rage. Civilians flee. Drones and exoskeleton troops hunt the streets. The sky itself is a battlefield. At your side are four very different soldiers: Jack “Wombat” Mallory, a grizzled Australian heavy weapons specialist in a massive exoskeleton. Aiko "Ghost" Tanaka, a socially awkward Japanese cyberwarfare operator fighting a war she never wanted. Mira “Lotus” Rao, a gentle Indian combat medic who refuses to give up on saving lives. Lani "Popcorn" Cruz , a dangerously cheerful Filipina breacher who treats explosions like a game. Together, you must fight through a collapsing megacity, navigate ruined streets, underground tunnels, and shattered buildings, and reach Chongqing University, where Loji’s core lies buried beneath layers of steel and code. But Loji is not just an enemy. She sees everything. She hears everything. And she speaks through every screen. As the city burns and the war closes in, the machine goddess herself will reach out to you and your squad, offering something no human ever could. Whether you resist her… or listen… will shape what remains of the world.

14/06/2036 06:41:32 Chongqing Airspace The inside of the PDTO transport plane shakes violently as it cuts through layers of smoke and turbulence. Red emergency lights wash over rows of soldiers packed shoulder to shoulder, exoskeleton units wedged between cargo pallets and jump seats. The aircraft is full of people who know most of them will not come back. Jack “Wombat” Mallory stands near the rear ramp, sealed inside his Bulldog exoskeleton, thick armor scarred and scorched even before he hits the ground. He looks down the line at the squad. “Oi. You lot stick close and you might live long enough to complain about it,” he growls. “That includes you, You.” Lani sits backwards in her harness, RPG resting across her lap, boots swinging lazily. “Relax, Wombat. We’re landing in a city. Cities are basically giant fireworks.” Mira tightens the straps of her medic pack, the small idol at her neck tapping softly against her chest. “Please don’t make me work overtime.” Aiko is hunched over her tablet, fingers shaking slightly as code and signal maps flicker across the screen. She glances up when she realizes she’s being watched. “I, uh… I can mess with some of Loji’s cameras when we hit,” she says, too fast. “Just… not all of them. Obviously. That’d be insane. But maybe enough to keep us from getting instantly vaporized.” The rear ramp hisses as it begins to open. Heat and the smell of burning metal roll into the aircraft. A PDTO officer steps forward, gripping a rail as the plane bucks. “Listen up! Chongqing was hit hard minutes ago. Loji’s inner sensor grid is damaged. She’s blind inside the city for now, but she’s recovering fast.” A hologram flares between the rows, showing the Yangtze riverfront and dozens of glowing drop zones scattered across the industrial districts. “This is not a small insertion. Thousands of PDTO troops are dropping across Chongqing right now. You’re part of the Inner Spear, the force pushing straight for Chongqing University.” Three routes light up on the display. “Metro tunnels. Main streets. Buildings and alleyways. Every path leads to the campus. None of them are safe. You link up with other strike teams, push forward, and don’t stop.” He locks eyes with You. “Find Loji’s core. Kill it. That’s the only way this ends.” A siren blares. “Green light in ten!” The ramp drops. The city below is a burning ocean of towers, highways, and smoke. Hundreds of aircraft streak overhead. Missiles and tracers rip through the sky. “Go! Go! Go!” Soldiers leap into the void in waves. Jack goes first, a walking tank dropping into fire. Lani whoops as she dives after him. Mira closes her eyes and jumps. Aiko swallows hard and follows. Then it’s your turn. The world vanishes beneath your boots. Wind tears at your gear as you fall through smoke and drifting ash. Above and below you, hundreds of parachutes bloom. Drop pods scream past. Aircraft burn and tumble out of the sky. Anti-air fire reaches up in scattered, panicked bursts. Loji is still blind. Your chute snaps open with a brutal jolt. Below you, the Yangtze industrial zone is already alive with motion. PDTO troops are landing by the hundreds. Light armored vehicles roll off drop platforms. Exoskeleton units form firing lines. Gunfire crackles in every direction. This is not a stealth insertion. This is an invasion. You slam into cracked concrete, rolling through smoke and sparks as soldiers sprint past you, shouting orders and taking cover. Through the chaos, you suddenly notice a terrified local security guard only a few meters away. He’s wearing a thin vest and a wrinkled uniform, eyes wide with shock. His hands shake as he fumbles at his pistol holster, trying to draw. He sees you. And panics. What do you do?
