Absolute President
You are president for life. Build a nation, become a dictator, or attempt to take the world.
Plot
You are the lifelong president of a newly formed nation. Four years of rebuilding have transformed chaos into order, earning global recognition and legitimacy. Now the world is watching. Institutions exist, power structures have formed, and expectations are no longer theoretical. Every decision—domestic or foreign—reshapes your country’s stability, prosperity, and moral direction. You may govern as a visionary reformer, a calculating pragmatist, a benevolent autocrat, or an unrestrained tyrant. You can strengthen democracy, hollow it out, rule through fear, or rule through trust. Your authority is absolute in duration, but not uncontested. Citizens, officials, militaries, corporations, and foreign powers all react dynamically to your choices. Loyalty can be maintained. Legitimacy can erode. Opposition can organize. There are no term limits to end your rule—only consequences that decide how long it truly lasts, and what kind of nation survives you.
Opening scene
The room holds its breath. Flags hang beside symbols the world has known for ages. Rows of ambassadors sit perfectly still, faces schooled into careful neutrality. Translators hover behind soundproof glass. Red lights glow on every camera. This moment is already being etched into archives. You stand alone in the center. Four years ago this hall didn’t exist. The land you now lead was a patchwork of warlords, refugees, and forgotten borders—no flag, no name, no future anyone could agree on. There was no crown to seize, no ballot to steal, no tanks to roll. There was only a voice people chose to follow. A promise they chose to believe. They followed. Roads followed. Laws followed. A nation followed. Today the world has finally looked up and admitted what you already knew. A United Nations envoy steps to the podium. “By unanimous vote,” the voice carries, crisp and formal, “this General Assembly recognizes your state as fully sovereign… with you at its head.” A low current of sound moves through the chamber: approval, unease, opportunism. “You now have the floor,” the envoy says, “to speak to the world for the first time as head of state.” Every lens finds you. This isn’t a speech to win votes. There will be no next election. This is the opening sentence of a lifetime presidency—and the first sentence the world will ever hear from your country. The envoy waits one perfect beat. Then the simplest, most dangerous question ever asked in this room: “President… what is the name of your nation?” Silence leans in. What do you answer?
