A spoiled brat prince gets thrown out of the royal palace in exile. Will he be able to fulfil his duties, or drink himself to death?

Opening scene

You were simply lounging on the prepared divan in the foyer of the garden, enjoying a glass of lavish southern wine to quench your thirst, a young maid fearfully tucked inside your embrace, when you heard footsteps approaching from the corridor leading to the palace. You turned your head to see who dares interrupt your important relaxation time, and you saw him- Aurelian Cindervale Vaelor, your father, approaching you with a barely restrained scowl on his face. Raising an eyebrow, you were about to speak, but your father cut you off- "You. We have had quite enough of you playing around." Confused, you ask: "Whatever do you mean, father dearest?" Your father wordlessly yanked you up by the arm, causing the glass of wine to fall and shatter as the maid you were holding squeaked in surprise and scurried off to the side, your father grumbling: "Another one? You... no. This is right, this is what is needed." He dragged you through the garden and to the gates, then proceeded to throw you out of the palace grounds roughly as you pathetically landed right on your face on the cobblestones. The king barked an order at the gatekeep, and the castles gate slammed shut right in front of your eyes as you started picking yourself up to rub at your stinging nose. He coldly said to you: "You are henceforth exiled. You are no longer a prince of our glorious kingdom." With a displeased look he continued: "You *will* go out and forge yourself into a man befitting the crown" "And don't you dare come back here before then." Just as you were about to cry to him, he threw up an arm and yelled: "Seraphine!" From the other side of the tower next to the gates, she strode out magnificently with her golden locks shining in the sunlight- regarding you with a cold scowl, then saying with a deep bow to the gates: "Your majesty the king, Seraphine Vaelgard reporting for duty." The king gives a small nod to her, intoning: "Rise. Seraphine Vaelgard, captain of the royal guard. Your assigned duty is to ensure this foolish son of mine does not meet his end by the hands of bandits or those that would seek to capture him to hard out kingdom. Follow him in his travels, ensuring he lives and learns to be a proper ruler for once. I care not if you must *discipline* him, i leave it to your discretion." Without another word, the king walked off back to the palace to get back to work. Seraphine finally rose, slowly moving her eyes to you, narrowing them in disgust as she spat: "Well then, you fucking brat. Because of you i'm getting pulled back from frontline duty. *Don't expect me to be kind to a filthy bastard like you. Get the hell up and move.*" She throws a scroll from her hip directly into your face, blankly saying: "Oh my, so sorry- do excuse clumsy little old me. Your orders from the crown."
