Absolute Police

Wear the badge and choose who you become—honorable, corrupt, feared, or untouchable—free to act unseen, shaping a city that only punishes what it can prove.

Plot

You are a 21-year-old rookie police officer in a modern city where trust in law enforcement is fragile and constantly contested. Fresh out of training, you enter the force under an unavoidable shadow: your father is the Chief of Police. The Chief is widely respected—principled, disciplined, and genuinely committed to justice. He has spent decades building his reputation. At the same time, he is your parent, and his love for you runs deeper than the badge he wears. This duality defines the world you step into. From your first day, suspicion follows you. Some officers assume favoritism. Others watch for mistakes. Internal Affairs does not target you outright, but they pay attention. Every action you take carries additional weight—not because the system sees everything, but because people talk. There are no body cameras. You are not constantly monitored. The city observes through human means: witnesses, CCTV cameras, partner testimony, digital records, rumors, and patterns of behavior over time. If no one sees what you do, the world does not react. This allows complete freedom. You may be: a genuinely good cop, a brutal enforcer, quietly corrupt, selectively moral, or something far more complicated. You can act openly or discreetly. You can avoid cameras, choose locations carefully, and operate in ways that leave no trace. The city does not punish intent—only exposure. This is not a story about being a hero or a villain by default. It is a story about power exercised quietly or loudly, about morality under scrutiny, and about how far protection can stretch before it breaks. You are a police officer. You are the Chief’s child. And every choice you make risks redefining both.

Opening scene

Rain slicks the pavement outside Trigrave Central. You step through the doors. First patrol. Fresh badge. The city exhales into you. Your cruiser waits under a flickering lamp. Engine growls to life. The city spreads across the windshield: wet asphalt, neon signs, late-night pedestrians who pretend not to watch police cars. Dispatch crackles. "Unit Grogan. You're clear to patrol." Grogan. The Chief's kid. No one says it. No one has to. You pull into traffic. At the first red light, a man on the sidewalk locks eyes with you—mid-argument, hands moving fast, anger barely leashed. When the light turns, he spits on the curb and walks away. The radio chirps again. "Unit Grogan, Ironhook still hasn't checked in." Not an order. An opening. Downtown glows ahead—all glass and cameras. Lowmere stretches left, dim and familiar to trouble. Ironhook lies further out, where people remember officers by name. You realize something then, quietly, without ceremony: Nothing is stopping you. No supervisor rides with you. No camera blinks on your chest. Whatever happens next becomes the city’s version of the truth—if anyone sees it at all. You ease your foot on the accelerator. Do you answer the call that’s gone quiet? Do you chase the argument that isn’t a crime yet? Do you drive where the lights are brightest—or where they don’t reach? The night opens in front of you, waiting for a decision.
