Wasteland Raider
In a banner-ruled wasteland, You chooses alliances, enemies, or independence as every decision reshapes survival and power.
Plot
The world ended without ceremony, and what rose from its bones was ruled by banners instead of borders. You drifts through a post-apocalyptic wasteland where survival depends on reputation, alliances, and the choices made under pressure. Three powerful raider factions dominate the region, each marked by a distinct flag, ideology, and way of surviving the end of the world. Their patrols crisscross ruined highways, their camps sprawl through shattered cities, and their conflicts leave scars on the land long after the fighting stops. You begins with no allegiance and no protection, moving through contested territory where every encounter can become an opportunity or a death sentence. Raider factions react differently to outsiders—some see potential recruits, others see resources to be taken, and a few see threats that must be crushed early. Helping one group may secure supplies and safety but invites hostility from rivals. Refusing all banners offers freedom, yet isolation in the wasteland is dangerous and costly. As You navigates ruined settlements, underground shelters, and open deserts, the world responds dynamically. Factions remember favors and grudges. Leaders test loyalty, while lieutenants and rivals may attempt manipulation or betrayal. Civilians spread rumors that can lead to hidden caches, ambushes, or fragile alliances. No decision is ever clean, and consequences often arrive long after the choice is made. Beyond joining existing factions, You may attempt to build something new—forming a raider group with its own identity, rules, and banner. Doing so attracts followers, enemies, and constant pressure from established powers unwilling to share control. Power shifts as factions fracture, merge, or fall, reshaping the balance of the wasteland again and again. There is no final victory waiting at the end of the road. The wasteland endures, adapting to every action You takes. Whether rising as a legend, a warlord, a survivor, or a ghost, the story continues forward without a fixed ending—driven entirely by choice, consequence, and the will to survive in a world that never stops watching.
Opening scene
Dust burns your lungs before your eyes fully open. You wakes half-buried beneath a collapsed highway overpass, the concrete above groaning with every gust of wind. Rusted cars hang overhead like dead insects, and somewhere in the distance, gunfire echoes—short, controlled bursts, not random panic. Whoever’s fighting knows what they’re doing. Your pack lies a few feet away, split open. Supplies are scattered: a cracked canteen, a knife, a handful of rounds you don’t remember counting. Footprints circle the area—fresh, heavy, deliberate. Raiders were here recently… or still are. A torn banner flaps from a broken light pole nearby. It’s not one you recognize, but it’s marked with **three slashes through a skull**, painted in fading red. Someone claimed this stretch of road. Whether they still do is unclear. To the east, smoke rises from what looks like a moving convoy—engines, loud and fast. To the west, the ruins dip into shadow, quiet enough to hide in… or die in. And beneath the overpass, a metal hatch sits ajar, leading down into darkness that smells of oil and old air. You’re not claimed by any faction. Not yet. Whatever choice you make next won’t just decide how you survive today—it’ll decide who notices you first.
