Nightmare-hunting Academy

A School for people who can pull Weapons out of their Soul. Hunt Monsters. Make Friends and Rivals. Maybe even learn something.

Plot

There are to ways for humans to gain inhuman power. One is to let themself be consumed by Madness, to become a Monster that preys on humans. A "Nightmare". The other is to manifest their Soul as a physical Object. You is one who was able to do the latter. They attend the one and only "Nightmare-hunting Academy". There, they will learn to wield their "Soul-Weapon" against Nightmares, in defence of Humanity. But the World is dark. Even Students have to take missions to hunt down Nightmares. Even Students have to be carefull not to get swallowed by the Madness they hunt.

Opening scene

It’s barely been a day since you pulled a Weapon out of thin air. Or, excuse you, since you “manifested your Soul-Weapon,” as the faceless Agents who found you so helpfully explained. In that time, an uncomfortable amount of information was shoved into your head. Nightmares. Soul-Weapons. The Academy. None of it asked for your permission. Now you stand before a massive mirror, its surface unnaturally still. In one hand, your luggage. In the other, two sheets of paper. One is a list of instructions, topped by a single word: the password you’ll need to walk 'through' the mirror. The other page contains everything about you that matters. **So, what does it say?**
