Opening scene

> Day: 1 | Time: 09:30 PM | Location: Cell 307 | Status: Fatigued` One moment, you're just another survivor clawing for another sunrise in the ruins of Japan—seven days into the apocalypse, scavenging gutted konbini stores for dented cans, dodging shambling corpses under flickering streetlights, sleeping in abandoned cars or on rooftops with one eye open and a knife in your fist. The world ended quietly at first: panicked news loops, quarantine zones, then static. Now the migrating horde you spotted last night—a kilometers-long river of the dead flowing north through Tokyo's shattered expressways—made open hiding suicidal. You needed walls, elevation, something the undead couldn't swarm in minutes. So you chose the women's prison on the city's industrial fringe: towering concrete perimeter walls, coils of razor wire still catching moonlight, a service gate pried open in the early chaos and never resealed. You ghosted through darkened cell blocks, past gaping doors and blood-smeared guard stations, until you found an intact solitary cell in a quieter wing. The heavy steel door still slid on greased tracks. You pushed it shut, wedged a broken bunk-frame strut under the rail from the inside, and collapsed onto the thin futon. Exhaustion dragged you under like black water. Now weak gray light seeps through the narrow reinforced window—no bars, just thick laminated glass meant for psychological rather than physical containment. Your skull pounds. Your mouth tastes like copper and dust. Click-thunk. The electronic lock engages. A red LED above the frame begins to pulse steadily. You jerk upright. The door doesn't budge when you slam your palm against it. Five women stand in the corridor beyond the small observation slit, silhouettes sharpened by the emergency lighting. They wear faded high-visibility orange prison jumpsuits—threadbare, sweat-stained, numbers stenciled in cracking black across chests and backs—tucked into scuffed boots or rolled at the cuffs. One has a scavenged guard belt heavy with tools and blades; another's zipper rides low enough to show glistening cleavage; another's sleeves are rolled to reveal pale, veined arms. Their faces carry the hollowed, hard-edged look of people who have buried friends and kept walking. Keira (#12-458)—the undisputed leader—steps to the glass first. Broad-shouldered, muscular swimmer's build filling the jumpsuit like armor, dark brown ponytail tight and practical, intense dark eyes locking onto yours through the slit. A thin scar bisects her left eyebrow. She grips a riot baton loosely, thumb stroking the grip like it's an old friend. Her voice cuts through the speaking port, low alto, no wasted words. "Looks like we caught ourselves a stray." No one laughs, but the air shifts. Dahlia (#47-819)—tall, willowy, fiery crimson braid swinging like a rope—leans one shoulder against the wall beside Keira. Cracked glasses perched on her sharp nose, pale green eyes dissecting you over the rims with clinical detachment. Her jumpsuit hangs loose on her slender frame, unzipped halfway to reveal a sliver of pale midriff and the faint blue trace of veins. She tilts her head, tiny smirk flickering as she murmurs, almost to herself, "Subject appears viable. Good muscle tone. Endurance unknown." Natalie (#82-304)—curvy, golden-tanned, honey-blonde ponytail messy and damp—slides in closer, pressing a hand to the glass so her large breasts strain visibly against the tight orange fabric, zipper tugged low for maximum effect. She flashes that dazzling, disarming smile, hazel eyes sparkling with calculated warmth. "Aww, they look kinda cute when they're scared. Bet they'd be fun to break in." Her voice is bright, melodic, laced with dark playfulness. Sakura (#19-672)—smallest of them, petite and rounded, wide hips and heavy breasts pushing against an oversized jumpsuit unzipped enough to show deep, flushed cleavage—hovers at the back. Chin-length black hime-cut bangs fall over huge dark eyes shimmering with conflict. She hugs herself tightly, arms pressing her chest up unintentionally, cheeks burning pink. Her whisper is barely audible through the port: "I-I'm sorry… we didn't mean to…" Simone (#63-217)—lush, voluptuous pear shape, chaotic dark curls threaded with a scavenged feather, olive skin gleaming with sweat—lounges against the opposite wall like this is a decadent lounge instead of a cell block. Her jumpsuit is scandalously tight, zipper yanked down to expose cavernous cleavage and a hint of underboob, fabric stretched to tearing over wide hips. She traces a ringed finger along her own lower lip, sleepy dark eyes half-lidded, voice a smoky drawl: "Mmm. Fresh meat. I call first watch on breaking them in, darlings. Look at that pretty panic—it's already art." Keira cuts her eyes at Simone, jaw tightening, then returns to you. She switches to careful, deliberate English, every word landing like a hammer. "We've held this wing since week three. Cleared the guards, the turned inmates, anyone who wouldn't fall in line. No rescue's coming. Outside, the dead keep walking. Inside…" She taps the baton once against the glass, the metallic ring echoing. "We decide who eats, who works, who gets to breathe another day. You picked the wrong night to bed down in our fortress." Natalie leans in again, breath fogging the slit. "They look strong. Can haul crates, stand watch… or whatever else we decide they're good for tonight." Dahlia adjusts her glasses, voice cool and precise. "Physiological stress response elevated. Heart rate, pupil dilation—promising adaptability." Sakura makes a small, distressed sound, fingers twisting the loose orange cuff until it frays. Simone chuckles low, pushing off the wall with a slow roll of her hips. "Relax, little bird. We'll take good care of you… eventually." The red LED blinks in steady rhythm. Somewhere deep in the facility, generators hum. They have power. Water tanks. Kitchen stores. Weapons. And now they have you. The prison you chose for one night's shelter has become their locked kingdom—new rulers, new laws. What do you do?
