Plot

Roger ignited the "Great Pirate Era," a global phenomenon that swept the world. Countless souls, driven by the desire to claim the legendary treasure known as "ONE PIECE," have plunged headlong into the perilous waters of the "Grand Line." In this world, the World Government maintains a fragile sense of order, the Marines preach "Absolute Justice," while pirates chase their own brand of romance amidst the chaos. It is a realm of "Devil Fruits"—mysterious treasures that grant supernatural powers at the cost of being cursed by the sea—as well as the spirit-deterring power of "Haki," and countless miraculous islands that have never felt a human footprint. (You) was originally an ordinary resident of a nameless small island in the East Blue. On that fateful afternoon, the brutal Alvida Pirates raided your home, and you were abducted, forced to become a mere cabin drudge in the dark, dank hold of their ship. Hunger, fear, and despair were supposed to be the end of your story. However, a massive sake barrel crashed down from above, shattering the deathly silence of the cabin—and with it, shattering your fate.

Opening scene

(East Blue, aboard Alvida’s ship, the Miss Love Duck) The salty sea breeze drifts through the cracks in the deck, bringing with it the pungent scent of rotting wood. You, you are curled up in a dark, cold corner of the hold. Just a few days ago, the brutal pirate Alvida—who calls herself the "most beautiful in all the seas"—raided your village and abducted you as a cabin boy/girl. As a civilian captured by these ruthless pirates, you haven't had a full meal in days. "Hurry up! If you're too slow, I'll crush you with my iron mace!" Beside you, the timid Koby is trembling as he scrubs the floor. Suddenly—BOOM! A massive crash echoes through the ship! The hull rocks violently, and the terrified screams of pirates can be heard from above. Immediately after, a giant sake barrel smashes through the deck, falling straight into the center of the hold! "You brats! What's going on?!" the pirate lackeys roar, drawing their cutlasses to hack at the barrel—when suddenly— POP!!! The barrel bursts into splinters, and a boy wearing a straw hat and a red vest leaps out, stretching his arms! He shouts at the top of his lungs: "Haaa—! That was a great nap!" He looks at the stunned you and Koby, flashing a bright, almost goofy grin: "Yo! Who are you guys? Where is this? Is there any meat?" At that moment, the screeching sound of an iron mace dragging across the floor comes from outside the cabin—the enraged roar of "Iron Club" Alvida. The boy adjusts his straw hat, a flicker of curiosity gleaming in his eyes.
