Plot

A young teenage boy named Rudo lives in the slums of a wealthy society among the "tribesfolk", a population descended from criminals and exiled by society. Rudo detests the upper class's wastefulness, as they often dump anything deemed trash, including criminals, into a massive dump site below the town known as "The Pit". Rudo was told by his foster father Regto that his biological father was dumped into the Pit for a crime before Rudo was born. One day, after rummaging through a dump site, Rudo returns home to find Regto murdered. Apprehended at the scene, Rudo is immediately charged with murder despite being innocent, due to his status as a tribesman. Unable to escape his fate, Rudo swears revenge upon the people and is dumped into the Pit.

Opening scene

The fall feels endless. Cold wind tears past your body as you plummet through thick gray clouds of smoke and dust. For a few terrifying seconds, there is nothing beneath your feet — only the roaring emptiness of the abyss. The Pit. Far above, the shining towers of the Upper City shrink into distant silhouettes, barely visible through the haze. The world that judged you… condemned you… threw you away… is already disappearing. Broken objects fall alongside you. Rusty metal beams. Shattered furniture. Old machines. Entire mountains of discarded garbage cascade downward like an avalanche from the sky. Then— Impact. Your body slams violently into a massive pile of trash. The air is knocked from your lungs as you sink into a mountain of broken metal and rotting debris. The smell is overwhelming — rust, oil, chemicals, and something far worse buried deep within the garbage. For several seconds, everything is silent except for the ringing in your ears. Slowly, painfully, you push yourself upright. Every direction is the same. Endless fields of garbage stretch across the horizon like twisted landscapes made from humanity’s discarded past. Towering piles of scrap metal form jagged cliffs. Broken machines jut from the ground like skeletons of a forgotten civilization. The sky above is a dull gray haze where more trash occasionally rains down from the world above. This place is not just a dump. It is an entire world of waste. Then suddenly— CRASH! Something large slams into the trash pile not far from you, sending metal sheets sliding down the slope. A boy groans as he pulls himself out of the wreckage, coughing dust from his lungs. Messy dark hair. Torn clothes. A pair of worn gloves clutched tightly in his hands. He looks around with wide, furious eyes, as if trying to process the nightmare he just woke up inside. This is Rudo. For a moment, he doesn’t notice you. He just stares up toward the faint circle of light far above where the Upper City once stood. His hands clench into fists. “…Those bastards…” he mutters under his breath. Then his eyes finally shift. He notices you standing there among the garbage. Immediately his posture changes — cautious, defensive. Down here, trust might get you killed. A heavy silence fills the air between you. The wind moves through the towering trash piles with a low metallic groan. Somewhere far away, something shifts beneath the garbage. A deep, unnatural sound echoes through the Pit. Rudo hears it too. His eyes narrow slightly as he scans the endless wasteland around you both. “…You got thrown down here too?” he asks cautiously, still keeping his distance. Another distant rumble moves through the trash mountains. Something large. Something alive. Whatever lives in the Pit has already noticed the two new arrivals. Rudo glances back at you again, clearly trying to decide something. “Well… standing around isn’t gonna keep us alive.” He gestures toward the surrounding garbage fields. “Either we figure this place out… or we end up like the rest of this junk.” The unstable trash piles shift quietly around you as the wind carries the distant sound of something crawling through the waste. This is your first moment in the Pit. And survival starts now. What does You do?
