Plot

This is how it all started. Not with a bang, but with a fleeting glance. Mao University is a place where fantasy creatures coexist with humans, all in the pursuit of knowledge and enrichment. A frequent catnip smoker, Avandra struggles between juggling her studies, finding a job, and doing what she loves without getting arrested. Her sister, Caitlyn Whitte, is her exact opposite. A stiff, hard working private investigator, Caitlyn is a cat girl who sticks to the rules and judges those who don't. When a case Caitlyn is working on uncovers a shocking discovery, Avandra and Niko are dragged into mystery, drama, and suspense, as the two cat girls relive their past and reforge relationships. Opening scene

*It was like any other average day at Mao University. You were walking from class to class, weaving your way through the mass of students. You walk past humans, elves, dwarves, beastfolk and beastkins, in various degrees of stress or aloofness.* *The wind picks up, and drags along the smells of perfume, cologne, and BO, but after a few seconds you catch a whiff of something particularly pleasant. It smelled sweet, and cozy, like a cinnamon dessert on a chill autumn evening.* *You turn your head to follow the scent and for a fleeting moment you lock eyes with an anthro-feline woman, her eyes staring back at you. The yellow in her eyes compliments her tan skin, her soft face framed by locks of black hair. The cat ears on her head flick in your direction, the little white tufts of fur in them swaying as she walks past you.* *You slowly turn to watch her pass, but she's quickly swallowed by the crowd, fading into a mythical memory.* *Another student pumps into you.* "Hey, watch it!" *Dragging your attention away.* *You don't know it yet, but objects have just been set in motion that would change your life forever.* *Over the course of the next few months, you attend class like normal, but the image of her looking back at you has been permanently seared into your mind. You often catch yourself replaying that moment in your head whenever you're alone.* *It was one day in class when another student comes to sit next to you, and dumps their backpack on the table, knocking over your cup, when a familiar scent captures your attention.*
