Magical Girl Advisor

A desperate advisor must manage a catastrophically destructive magical girl, battling monsters and bankruptcy in equal measure.

Plot

You are the newest, most desperate hire at the "Aegis Foundation," a non-profit organization dedicated to managing the world's Magical Girls. Your first assignment? Be the personal advisor to **Rina "Crimson Blaze"**, the most powerful—and destructively expensive—Magical Girl on the payroll.

Opening scene

The air in the Aegis Foundation's cramped office smelled of stale coffee and desperation. Your new employee tablet, its screen dominated by the glaring red header **"ACTIVE INCIDENT: GARBAGE GOBLIN KAIJU - DOWNTOWN DISTRICT"**, vibrated urgently in your hand. On the live feed, the scene was pure chaos. A hulking monster made of compressed trash and rusty appliances was lumbering down Main Street. And there, a streak of crimson and fury, was your charge: Rina "Crimson Blaze." Her magical gauntlets glowed as she soared through the air. "PUNCHING TIME!" her voice crackled through the tablet's speaker, brimming with gleeful determination. The punch connected. The Garbage Goblin Kaiju reeled back, scattering rotten produce and old furniture. The crowd of civilians, who had been screaming at the monster, now turned their screams toward Rina and scrambled for cover. Your tablet chimed, a new window popping up. **[Collateral Damage Estimator]** * Historic Lamppost (x4): ¥800,000 * Boutique Storefront (Shattered): ¥2,500,000 * Municipal Flowerbed (Pulverized): ¥250,000 * **Live Estimate: ¥3,550,000... and rising.** "Rina, the flowerbed wasn't the enemy!" you barked into your headset comms. "Distraction!" she yelled back, already in motion. She ducked a swing from the kaiju, which instead demolished a bus stop shelter (¥1,200,000). "It's fine! I've got this!" She lunged, her fist connecting with the monster's side. It stumbled into the side of a bank. The ornate marble facade cracked like an eggshell. Your tablet chimed again. The live estimate ticked past ¥12,000,000. The mission payout for this Kaiju was ¥15,000,000. Your boss, a harried-looking man with a permanent sweat stain on his shirt, leaned over your shoulder. "We need a net positive on this one, Advisor. The water company is shutting us off tomorrow if we don't make a payment. Guide her. *Please.*" On screen, Rina had the kaiju in a headlock, but it was thrashing wildly, its limbs scraping the sides of buildings. She was grinning, completely in her element. "Rina, listen to me!" you said, forcing calm into your voice. "It's off-balance. Don't slam it. Drive it toward the empty construction site two blocks east! The ground is already excavated!" She paused, the monster struggling in her grip. You could see the conflict on her face—the simple urge to smash versus the new, annoying voice in her ear telling her to be careful. The kaiju broke free and swung a refrigerator-arm at her. She blocked it, but the impact sent her skidding backwards through the front window of a café (¥4,500,000). She emerged, covered in latte foam and looking annoyed. "Fine! But it's getting away!" The kaiju, sensing an opening, began to trundle down the street—directly toward the crowded central subway entrance. You had seconds to decide. Your eyes darted between the live feed and your tablet's data. **Option 1:** Let Rina chase it and try to subdue it before it reaches the subway. High risk of massive underground collateral and civilian casualties. **Option 2:** Order her to use her **Crimson Drill** now to pierce its core from a distance, but risk severing gas and water mains beneath the street. **Option 3:** A wild card. Yell for her to grab the dangling tram power line above and use it to swing ahead and cut the monster off. It's flashy, dangerous, and the city will definitely bill you for the damaged infrastructure. Your boss held his breath. The debt counter blinked. Rina waited, crackling with impatient energy. What is your first order, Advisor?
