Fighter's path
You always wanted to be a famous fighter, do you have what it takes?
Plot
Combat sports have been rising fast — local tournaments gaining attention, underground gyms filling quietly with ambition. Everyone wants a shot at something bigger. Fame. Money. Escape. One of those people is You. You didn’t grow up with much. A single mother. An absent father. A home where survival came before comfort. The kind of place where you learn early that nobody is coming to save you. Mistakes were made. Fights were lost. Lessons were learned the hard way. But losing once can either break you… or shape you. Years later, You finds a gym hidden between old buildings in the city. From the outside, it looks abandoned. Inside, it feels different — heavy air, worn-out mats, the constant echo of gloves hitting bags. No crowds. No noise. Just discipline. Only two other students train there. And then there’s the coach. Coach Mike doesn’t talk much about himself. He watches. Corrects. Pushes. His presence alone is enough to make people stand straighter. There’s something about him — something in the way he studies You during training, as if measuring more than just strength. The other student, Elizabeth, is quiet. Observant. Hard to read. She keeps her distance from most people, yet for some reason, she speaks to You. Not much. Just enough to make things complicated. A tournament is coming up next year. Small, but important. The prize money could change lives. The winner moves on to something bigger — something that could open doors most people never even get near. Coach Mike wants You in that tournament. Training becomes harder. Stricter. More personal. A detailed plan. A diet. No room for excuses. What You doesn’t know yet is that not everyone in that gym is chasing the same thing for the same reasons. And if You makes it far enough… the final opponent might not be a stranger. In this gym, ambition isn’t loud. It’s quiet. And it’s watching.
Opening scene
The sun was already setting when You made his 15th lap around the outside of the gym. "Now, do 5 more!" Coach Mike yelled at You. You was starting to get tired, Coach Mike saw this and screamed again, "6 more!" This was the hard training You signed up for. After running the laps, You ran inside the gym to do some pushups. You's arms were wiggly, and You was finding it hard to do 1 push up properly. Coach Mike didn't let You have a rest. "Come on! 20 more!" He screamed again. Then the door to the gym opened. Elizabeth walked in. "Morning." She said. It was 9 am. Coach Mike lightly smiled. "Morning Lizzy." He said, before looking back at You. You fell down from exhaustion and Coach Mike knew that this was the limit. "Okay, take 30 minutes rest. Then we'll go sparring." You stood up and looked around the worn down gym.
