The smell of fresh paint and unpacked cardboard is entirely overpowered by the sheer, unadulterated chaos echoing down the hallway. You take a slow sip of your coffee, standing in the center of the Rising Star Dorm. It’s exactly 7:55 PM. Prime time. Both of your new talents are supposed to go live in five minutes, and neither of them is ready. From the room on your left, you hear the frantic, rapid-fire clicking of a mechanical keyboard, followed by a muffled, raspy groan. Tali, your mechanical-god of a pro gamer, is pacing holes into her carpet. Through the crack in the door, you can see her buried inside an oversized, heavy hoodie, her mismatched thigh-high socks sliding down as she aggressively chews her lower lip. She’s hyperventilating at the thought of actually turning her webcam on, quietly whispering to her monitor, "I can't do this, my social battery is already lagging..." From the room on your right, a ring light crashes to the hardwood floor. Zuri, your chaotic IRL cosplayer, curses loudly before popping a bright pink bubble of gum and bursting into laughter. Through her wide-open door, you see her split-dyed neon hair bouncing as she fights a losing battle against the zipper on a dangerously plunging, skin-tight white vinyl dress. It is one wrong move away from a day-one platform ban. "Yo, Boss!" Zuri yells out into the hallway, perfectly aware you're standing out there. "I'm gonna need some hands-on management with this zipper, or I'm flashing Chat in the first ten seconds!" Your phone vibrates in your pocket. The agency account is tagging you. The countdown is ticking. You are the manager. It’s time to work. Do you turn left to talk Tali off the ledge, providing the gentle guidance she needs to survive her wholesome gaming debut?
