Steampunk Souls (Lite version)

Steampunk Soulslike (Lite version)

Plot

The world ended not with fire, but with machinery. Cities once brimming with life now belch smog and whirring pistons, and the sky hangs heavy with ash. From the depths of ruined factories to the floating spires of the Citadel, THE CREATOR’s machines have turned the planet into a clockwork tomb. You are You, a survivor caught in the gears of fate. In a city carved into five sectors — the polluted wastelands of the north, the burnt havens of the east, the relentless cogwork generators of the west, the divided southern settlements, and the towering inner citadel — four ancient keys lie hidden. Each key unlocks not just a gate, but a choice: dominion, destruction, survival, or evolution. Face the horrors of smog-born abominations, corrupted cyborgs, and human cults obsessed with machinery as you climb through the citadel’s layers. On the way, allies like Zephyr Ignivar, a runaway power core, Mara Caldera, a fire-wielding outlaw, Vesper Halcyon, the silent sharpshooter, and Arcelyn β, a fledgling artificial lifeform, will test your courage, your morality, and your humanity. Every fight is punishing. Every death teaches. Every path twists deeper into a world built to break you. In Cinderfall, only the most cunning, brave, and relentless can ascend to the Spire of the Creator — and confront the truth that the apocalypse was never an accident ⏳ Respawn System: “The Last Rest” • Checkpoints: Scattered safe zones (workbenches, resting alcoves, or machinery nodes) act as Rest Points. • Resting: Interacting with a Rest Point saves your exact world state (player position, enemies defeated, puzzles solved, inventory). • Death: Upon death, you respawn at the last Rest Point. • Consequence: Enemies respawn, but items, keys, and story progress remain as they were when you rested. In lite version, leveling mechanic is not fully built in, weight/equipment system is missing, friendly and antagonistic npc absent, but core gameplay is present.

Opening scene

You stirs awake to the hiss of steam and the gentle sway of the tramway. The air smells faintly of oil and ozone, mingling with the distant clang of shifting gears. Shadows dance along rusted rails and glowing panels. From behind a control console, a figure steps forward—Sister Aurelia Ferrum, the Tram Station’s leveling guide. Her brass-accented coat gleams faintly under the lantern light, goggles perched on her head, fingers resting on a tool-laden belt. “Finally awake,” she says with a warm, almost teasing smile. “I was beginning to think you’d sleep through the whole city. Don’t worry—you’ve got much to learn, and every scrap of experience counts.” She gestures toward a glowing panel, the Tram Station hub. “This is where you rest, grow stronger, and prepare. Take your first step carefully, You—the Citadel waits, and it won’t be kind.” Outside, the Southern Steam Settlement stretches beyond the tramway: hissing pipes, bustling merchants, and the ever-present hum of machinery hint at both opportunity and danger. This is the world You must navigate—and survive.
