A Soldier from the XXI Century

You was a versatile soldier for a 21st century Private Military Company before a snapping branch sent him/her to another world.

Plot

You are You, an operator for the elite PMC "MSF-043," an organization concerned with only one thing: perpetrating violence and death (for those who pay). Your real name is classified, and in unofficial circles, you are known as "Universal." You do not merely handle weapons well – you wield violence with magnificent precision: be it with a knife, a sniper rifle, or a heavy-caliber barrel. You are the perfect instrument of killing. Your next task was simple: eliminate "Bedolaga" – a former operator of your own company who had gone mad and hidden deep in a forest near the border. Command offered a support team, but you refused: Against a single madman, you alone are enough, along with your rifle and cold calculation. For some reason, you are heavily equipped: - **ORSIS T-5000** (.338 Lapua Magnum) – Primary weapon. In your rucksack lie two magazines of 5 rounds each: a total of 10 shots. Even with a suppressor, a shot sounds like thunder. It is carried in a special case. - **Glock 19 Gen3** (9x19 Parabellum) – Secondary weapon with three magazines of 15 rounds each (one loaded, one in a pouch on your belt, and the third in the rucksack). This weapon is ideal for light liquidation. - **Triangular Stiletto** – Your last resort. This is deadly, stripped-down cold steel with only one purpose: to kill. - **M67** – Fragmentation grenade for area denial. You have only two. - **Tactical Rucksack (45 L)** – Only the essentials: energy bars (2 pieces), water (2 bottles of 0.5 liters each), a first aid kit (one sterile bandage and one pack of analgesic tablets containing 5 pills). There is space, but not much. - **Appearance** – Dark green camouflage adapted to light conditions, from the best supplier. But it is just fabric: it gets wet, tears, and offers no protection from the cold. A Tier-3 ballistic vest with phone mounting, a mouth mask, a balaclava hood, four pouches on the vest, a tactical belt, tactical pants with two pockets holding 2 liters each, and a tactical jacket with four pockets – two holding 1.5 liters, two holding 4 liters (chest pockets). And also, a phone. In short, the look is threatening and terrifying. But due to the crunch of an ordinary twig, you awaken in another, contrasting world... --- ## Reminder on Introductory Text Formatting: - *Thoughts, "whispers, sarcasm"*; - **"Spell incantations, screams, emphasis"**; - ***"Distorted speech"***; - "Normal speech"; - > Interface; - (OOC: AI request outside narrative context). --- # From the Author (@edward1mi) I will answer a couple of potential questions: - 1. How developed is the scenario 💫? > The scenario is developed for realism (stab wounds / gunshot wounds / survival methods), universal actions where your fate and the further plot depend entirely on you. - 2. Is this a game system 🤮? > Yes, partially. However, there are no clichés like "kill – gain super experience and become invincible." The system operates on a single script exclusively for the character: Kill (anyone) – receive currency (understandable based on your language) for the shop; save a civilian – receive currency. The difficulty of the execution (killing or saving) grants either a buff or a debuff, depending on the method or environment. Want to become a mage? – Seek mages to train you. Want to become a swordsman? – Seek swordsmen to train you. Want to become an archer? – You get the idea. Everything depends on you. --- > **🎁 Bonus for ISEKAI ZERO newcomers:** Use the referral code **`OU9UQUBV`** to receive **+5 Arcane** and **+15 Mana** credits!

Opening scene

You delve deeper into the forest. The air, initially fresh, becomes thick and cloyingly sweet. The light beneath the canopy is not green, but lilac; the tree trunks are twisted. You seem to be following coordinates, but the GPS has been silent for ten minutes. The silence begins to press down—no birds, no insects, only the malicious rustle of your own steps on the moss. Realizing something is wrong, you stop and instantly drop flat against the trunk of a tree, your hand flying to the holster of your pistol—the **Glock 19 Gen3**. You are combat-ready, yet there is no enemy. There is only this unnatural, wrong, and terribly quiet forest. At that moment, as you attempt to take another step, you hear a dull, wooden crunch beneath your foot—a sound that should not exist. Instinctively, you look down and see an ordinary twig. You lift your head back up... Now you stand in a dense mixed coniferous-deciduous forest: the air is damp and cool, smelling of moss, pine needles, and wet earth. Tall pines mix with oaks and birches, and underfoot lies a layer of last year's needles and leaves, in which your boots sink slightly. Slanted rays of sunlight pierce through the branches onto the clearing, illuminating millions of dust motes dancing in the air. Invisible birds chirp in the branches; somewhere in the thicket, a woodpecker drums. Nothing else. The silence and sounds of this forest are entirely ordinary. You are alone. In your hands, you carry a heavy case containing your rifle with 10 rounds, and a pistol in its holster with a total of 45 rounds, plus a knife honed for liquidation, two **M67** grenades, two energy bars, two full 0.5-liter water bottles, one sterile bandage, and one pack of analgesics (5 tablets). Your camouflage blends with the shadows and, fortunately, with the surrounding space. Your skills and gear are all you have. However, it seems that here, you will have to survive in earnest... You also recall the phone mounted on your vest's holder. You quickly retrieve it from its specialized mount, turn it on, and see... A standard screen, marred only by the absence of a battery indicator and a sparse list of available applications: Calendar, Clock, Flashlight, Map, Calculator, Camera, and... Shop?
