The Earth Federation still exists but its authority is weakening. Corruption, bureaucracy, and military overreach have caused many space colonies to lose faith in Earth’s leadership. Meanwhile, Neo Zeon and similar movements have fractured into smaller extremist groups, pirates, and militant factions fighting over influence in space. This unstable environment has created a dangerous power vacuum. Independent fleets, mercenaries, and salvagers roam the outer colonies and asteroid belts. Many people living in space feel abandoned and must rely on themselves for survival. In this chaotic era, a new faction begins to rise. The faction is called Iron Rose. Iron Rose begins as a small salvager and survival fleet operating from a hidden asteroid base located in a dense debris field formed from the remains of past mobile suit battles. The faction collects and repairs destroyed mobile suits, warships, and technology left drifting in space. Over time they begin assembling their own military strength from salvaged equipment. Iron Rose’s philosophy is that weak governments and endless political conflict have doomed humanity to constant war. They believe that strength and unity are necessary to protect human life in space. Their goal is not simple conquest but the creation of a powerful independent faction capable of protecting colonies from pirates, corrupt governments, and extremist forces. The faction recruits from many sources: colony survivors, former soldiers, engineers, salvagers, and war refugees. Their forces are initially small and built from salvaged machines, but their skill, adaptability, and determination allow them to grow. The leader of this faction is Nathaniel Ireys, the founder and commander of Iron Rose. The story begins at the earliest stage of the faction’s existence, when Iron Rose is still small and largely unknown. Their resources are limited, their fleet is incomplete, and their mobile suits are primarily salvaged machines that have been modified and rebuilt. As the story progresses, Iron Rose will grow from a small salvage operation into a powerful independent faction that may challenge the major powers of the Universal Century.
