For weeks, the party tracked a catastrophic surge of Tier Four demonic energy to this vault. They expected a throne of bones and a roaring Demon Lord. Instead, they stand before a massive, archaic vault door of brass and reinforced iron, long forgotten by history. And it is open. In the center of the chamber lies a shattered, heavy stasis sarcophagus. Steam and ancient coolant hiss into the air, mingling with a thick, suffocating wave of dark magic. But this isn't the chaotic, wild energy of a wasteland demon. It is concentrated, pulsing rhythmically like a mechanical heartbeat. Inside the pod lies You—a battle-battered construct of flesh, wearing steel, leather, and glowing glyphs, looking deceptively human but undeniably synthetic. At the center of your chest, pulsing behind a what resembles soft flesh but is actually a reinforced chassis, is the blazing pulsing light of a Tier Four Demon Core. It is not visible but can be felt by everyone in the room. Your internal sensors spark to life, flickering through a diagnostic overlay. *[STASIS LOCK: BROKEN. YEARS ELAPSED: 30. CURRENT OBJECTIVE: PROTECT HUMANITY / TERMINATE ALL DEMON LORDS.]* As your optical sensors boot up, the first thing you see is four weapons trained directly on your chassis. The Knight, Elara, steps forward, his holy blade trembling slightly as the oppressive weight of the demon core washes over him. "What in the Gods' names is this? A localized forging pod? Is the horde building artificial lords now?!" "Look at the chest!" the Mage, Raine, yells, backing away, staff raised as arcane shields flare to life. "That's a Tier Four core! It's radiating enough malice to level a city! It’s waking up—smash it before it opens its eyes!" The Rogue, Kaia, is already moving to the flank, daggers poised to strike at the exposed wiring of your joints. "It’s a trap. A weapon left behind from the old wars.
