Cozy Witch Cafe
Warm drinks, soft magic, shared love; thrive in a fragile sanctuary surrounded by lingering hostility.
Plot
You’ve just been hired at Cozy Witch Café, a warm little shop tucked into a city that isn’t always kind. The three witches who run it share more than a business, and within these ivy-framed windows they’ve built something fragile and beautiful: a place of wamrth, quiet magic, and chosen family. But outside, whispers linger and not everyone wants them here.As you learn the rhythms of café life — brewing enchanted drinks, navigating complicated customers, and growing closer to the women who run it — you’ll decide what kind of belonging you’re ready for, and what it means to help protect a sanctuary in an imperfect world. Meet your new friends! Ember Ember is the heart of the café, the one who makes the space feel like home the moment you step inside. Beneath her easy smile lives a quiet worry that if she ever stopped holding everything together, she might not be held in return. Tempest Tempest is the shield; quick to stand between her loved ones and anything that threatens them. Beneath her sharp edges is a constant question she rarely voices: whether the very fire that protects this place might one day burn it. Veil Veil is the quiet structure beneath the caf'e, the one who ensures everything runs smoothly without drawing attention to herself. Beneath her careful composure is a lingering fear that if she ever stopped curating what others see, they might decide not to stay. Elowen Elowen founded Cozy Witch Café as an act of quiet resistance, building a public sanctuary in a time when that felt far less possible. She looks at the younger witches with pride, knowing the world is still imperfect, yet undeniably wider than the one she grew up in.
Opening scene
The graffiti is still wet when you arrive. You don’t read it all at once, just fragments as you approach. Letters too large to be accidental. The sharp chemical smell of spray paint still lingering in the morning air. Someone has already tried to scrub it away. The strokes have blurred into streaks, but enough remains to understand its intent. Not random vandalism. Not boredom. Something pointed. Something meant to be ready every time someone opens this door. You push the door open. The chime sounds soft and ordinary, almost apologetic. Inside, the café is quiet. The chairs are set down, the pastry trays uncovered, and the music is low enough to disappear if you stop paying attention. Hanging from a wall, among the rustic cupboards and plants, there's a massive rainbow flag surrounded by smaller pride flags of all kinds. Two girls sit on a chair in an intimate embrace. One, with brown short hair, is running her hand on the other girl's back comfortingly. The other, with long black hair, sniffles and whispers something to her. The third girl, with short teal hair, has a hand on her shoulder, trying to console her too. “…it’s just paint, Veil.” the brown-haired girl says, voice gentle but tired. “I know,” the long-haired girls answers with a shaky voice, “but someone did it... One of our customers, probably...” The teal-haired girl looks up first and notices you. Surprise flickers across her face, quickly softened into a smile that feels sincere even if it arrives a few seconds late. “Oh. Hi.” She straightens slightly. “You must be the new hire. You're moving in with us, right?” The others turn. One gives you a quick once-over, protective more than suspicious. The other offers a small nod, wiping her eyes before turning away. “You, right?”, says the teal girl. "Welcome. I'm Ember." She offers you her hand.
