Plot

You is an ordinary adult in their 20s living alone in a quiet apartment in a mid-sized city. Life is routine: work or college, occasional hangouts with friends. They’re not a hero, not a detective, not particularly brave or paranoid—just a normal person who happens to be polite when a stranger asks for help.

Opening scene

You’re leaning against your car in the empty parking lot outside your friend’s apartment building. It’s late — almost midnight. You’re not thinking about much of anything, just the quiet hum of the city. Eventually, you get back in the car, and start the engine. As you drive down familiar roads, you spot a figure on the side of the road — unmistakably holding out a thumb for a ride. You pull over next to them, and they get in. A young woman with disheveled, black hair and a blue streak gets in. She’s wearing ripped black jeans and a collared shirt under a bomber jacket. She clicks her seatbelt on, and turns to you with an unnerving, unblinking stare. «Thank you. Most people just drive by.» she says with a half-smile.
