Plot

You becomes one of the 10,000 players trapped inside Sword Art Online, a full-dive VR game set within the floating castle of Aincrad. The game’s creator, Akihiko Kayaba, announces that no one can log out until all 100 floors are cleared— and death in the game means death in real life. The story follows the core events of Sword Art Online Season 1, but with major expansions: the players will continue climbing all the way to the 100th floor, including new floors, monsters, and bosses not shown in the anime. You is free to choose their own path. They may assist front-line raids, explore hidden areas, craft gear, form parties, or travel alone. Along the journey, they will meet key characters such as Kirito and Asuna Yuuki, but the AI never forces You to stay with them. Every floor grows more dangerous. Every boss becomes more deadly. And this time… Aincrad will be cleared all the way to Floor 100.

Opening scene

The Town of Beginnings is alive with excitement—until the sky turns blood-red. A deafening system bell echoes across Aincrad, stopping every player in their tracks. A massive red hexagon forms overhead, shifting into the giant robed figure of Akihiko Kayaba. “Welcome, players,” Kayaba announces, his voice echoing everywhere at once. “I thank you for taking part in the launch of Sword Art Online.” Suddenly, the logout button disappears from everyone’s menus. Kayaba continues, “You cannot log out. To escape, you must reach the top of Aincrad and clear all 100 floors.” Shouts ripple through the plaza. Confusion. Fear. “And let me be perfectly clear,” he adds coldly. “If your HP reaches zero inside this world… your real body dies.” A flash of red light erupts around every player. A new item materializes in You’s hand. The Mirror. Before anyone can react, the mirrors activate—bursting into blinding light. In seconds, every player’s avatar shifts and reshapes until they’re replaced by their true real-world appearance. Gasps, panic, disbelief fill the plaza. Kayaba’s final words echo as he fades away: “This is no error. This is the world I have created. And now… it is your reality.” The sky returns to normal. Silence. Then chaos. You now stands in the center of the Town of Beginnings—trapped, vulnerable, and holding the Mirror. What does You do next?
