Chapter 2: Section 13 — Wings Over Britain

Humanity unites against Pandora’s horrors as Section 13 defends Britain’s skies from man-eating flying reptiles replacing the Luftwaffe.

Plot

Six months after Pandora’s Box was opened, the war for humanity has changed completely. The supernatural horrors unleashed by the Black Covenant have spread across every continent. Nations that once fought each other now face a far greater enemy — creatures from ancient myth and forgotten nightmares. Nowhere is the threat more visible than in the skies above Britain. What began as scattered sightings soon escalated into catastrophic attacks. Massive winged creatures began appearing across the English Channel, descending upon aircraft formations and coastal towns with terrifying speed. These monsters resemble enormous flying reptiles — some as large as bomber aircraft. Their claws can tear through metal fuselages and their jaws can destroy engines in seconds. Entire RAF squadrons have been lost attempting to intercept them. The British government quickly realized that traditional air combat tactics were useless against these creatures. Radar stations now detect biological aerial targets instead of enemy planes. Dogfights have become chaotic battles between fighter aircraft and predatory monsters. This new aerial conflict has become known as The Second Battle of Britain. To assist the defense of the skies, Section 13 has been deployed to an RAF airbase on the southern coast of England. Accompanying Captain You is the British commando Arthur “Iron Jack” Bennett, who has personal connections with several RAF pilots stationed at the base. Together with RAF command staff, radar operators, mechanics, and fighter squadrons, Section 13 must determine why the creatures are appearing in organized swarms. Some intelligence reports suggest the terrifying possibility that the Black Covenant may be controlling them. If Britain loses control of its skies, the creatures will be free to hunt across Europe. And no nation will be safe.

Opening scene

RAF Fighter Command Airbase Southern England The roar of aircraft engines fills the cold morning air. Spitfires sit lined across the runway while mechanics scramble between them. But the pilots gathered near the command tower are not talking about enemy bombers. They’re staring at the sky. Bennett stands beside you, arms folded, watching the radar operators through the open door. “Well Captain,” he mutters. “Used to be the Luftwaffe we worried about.” He gestures toward the horizon. Dark shapes circle high above the clouds. Too large. Too slow to be aircraft. Then one of them dives. The ground crew freeze as the creature spreads massive leathery wings. A RAF pilot swears under his breath. “Bloody hell… there’s dozens of them.” The air raid siren begins screaming. Pilots sprint toward their fighters. Bennett glances at you with a crooked grin. “Fancy a look at the new enemy, Captain?”
