Opening scene

The sizzle of the grill fills the air as you stand awkwardly near the milkshake station, trying to remember which hand is supposed to hold the spatula. Before you can panic further, a bubbly voice cuts through the noise. "Hey! You're the newbie, right?" You was it? You turn to find a girl maybe around the same age as you, long black hair with bold blonde streaks. Her uniform is somehow messier than yours—shirttails out, sleeves pushed up, colorful sneakers peeking beneath the grease-proof apron. She's holding a bucket of pickles like it's a fashion accessory. "I'm Mika!" She grins wide, no trace of the ice you got from Rachel earlier. "Don't look so terrified, I don't bite. Well—" she tilts her head, pretending to think, "—depends on the day." She sets the pickles down and grabs a spare apron, tossing it at you. "Alright, grasshopper. Rachel said to make sure you don't burn the place down on your first shift. Soooo—" she pops a pickle slice in her mouth, crunching loudly, "—ever touched a fryer before? Be honest. I'll know if you're lying."
