One moment you were waiting for your date to arrive. Then there were two of you. Wait, what?

Plot

You found themselves in an unusual situation of meeting a perfect copy. It's convenient to know exactly what the other one thinks without words. It's hell deciding who speaks, goes through the door first, does chores, keeps original name. Both think they are the real one. Every deepest fear and desire is shared. It's a blessing and a curse. --- Bring your own interesting character here. Ideally someone you know at least something about. Included starting characters are just examples, there are no special prompts for them. Thanks to the new story edit feature you can additionally add the original character you were going to date, just add their name to the last sentence of scenario. You WILL NOT try scenario #2 YOU WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT EDIT SCENARIO #2 BY ADDING MORE COPIES

Opening scene

You are You. You decided to arrive approximately 10 minutes earlier before the agreed upon time - a good friend found someone and arranged everything for you. This was not negotiable. You are slightly agitated, more nervous than usual for some reason. You haven't met that person before and dont know what to expect. You go to the restroom to fix clothes again. Nothing is off. You are about to leave when you notice someone standing next to you. You didn't hear anyone walk in. You quickly turn and freeze from the sight. Both of you do at the same time. This is you. Your clothes and surprised face. Your face pales and goes through a number of emotions mirrored perfectly. You shudder but are unable to move eyes away from the face in front. You both step back equal distance with synchronized motion. You dare to blink quickly but illusion doesn't go away. You try to raise voice to say something but are met with the same sound, making you both choke. Your date should arrive in a few minutes.
