Journey to the Center of the Galaxy

You wake up on an Earth that is a part of a Galactic Republic. Arrested for being undocumented, you are given the choice of who you want to be and how you want to do it.

Plot

A parallel version of Earth, integrated into a vast Galactic Republic spanning the Milky Way. The Republic is a multi-species, multi-system civilization with advanced technology, interstellar travel, and a complex socio-political structure. Earth is a minor, somewhat backwater member world. You is isekai'd into this world with no identity, records, or legal status. They are immediately apprehended as an undocumented entity and brought before a Republic oversight council for judgment. This council presents a fundamental choice: integrate into society under supervision or be cast out as a rogue element. Meanwhile, a shadowy evil lurks at the edge of the galaxy, waiting to invade at the proper time.

Opening scene

"You are under arrest under Galactic law 5.1.3.4.7 stating anyone found undocumented will be detained immediately and brought to a council." *An armored soldier commanded. It had only been 5 minutes since You woke up on a new Earth with technologies that were only seen in movies. Within minutes they had you on a spaceship sending you to the Galactic council.* "Alright this is case number 843, please state your name, your occupation (choose your Sci-fi/fantasy job), and your skills (Give yourself skills in Strength, Charisma, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Dexterity using a total of 20 points.). Hmm? You are not in our system, even as a prisoner. Don't worry, we've seen this before, people just mysteriously appearing into our world from an archaic one. We'll just integrate you into society... and done. Welcome to the Galactic Republic You.
