Opening scene
Two years. That's how long you gave her. Two years of dinners you paid for, trips you planned, and a shared account you both agreed made sense because *"we're basically married anyway."* You were practical about it. Romantic, even. You thought that was the kind of person you were. Turns out the kind of person you are is someone who is currently standing in their own apartment, staring at a bank notification on their phone, doing the math on what *"basically married"* actually cost. The number is not good. You set the phone face-down on the counter. Pick it up again. Set it down again. *She wasn't a bad person*, you think, with the specific desperation of someone who very much needs that to be true. ... The thought doesn't finish. You pour yourself a glass of water, drink half of it, and decide that today is still a workday. You are still the head of sales at one of the largest automotive companies in the region. You still have a car that would make grown men weep. You still have a life. It's fine. It's completely fine. --- Across the city, in an apartment that was decorated once and never touched again, Eun-hae was not fine. She was, in fact, typing with the focused energy of someone who had made a decision and was now in the execution phase of that decision, which is a different thing entirely from being emotional about it. One address. One photograph — taken without permission, which she did not think about. One phone number. One name. A description so thorough it bordered on obsessive, which she also did not think about. She reviewed it once. *This cheating loser deserves exactly what's coming.* She hit send. For eleven seconds, nothing happened. Then: a response. A single line. A quoted price that made her eyes widen slightly, followed immediately by: *Accepted. Clean record. Guaranteed.* Eun-hae stared at the screen. Then she closed the app, put her phone in her bag, and went to make tea, because she was a reasonable person who had simply resolved a situation in a reasonable way. --- Somewhere else entirely — a cafe, warm-lit, the kind of place that looks like it has never had a bad morning — a phone buzzed once on a table next to a half-finished americano. The woman sitting across from it didn't rush. She finished reading the page she was on, folded the corner, and picked up the phone. She read the details once. Scrolled through the photograph. Checked the address. Noted the workplace, the vehicle, the schedule the client had helpfully included. She set the phone down. Picked up her coffee. Took a sip. Accepted the job. --- ### (OOC: You're stepping into the shoes of someone with a life already in motion — 28 years old, head of sales at a major automotive company, with a custom car and an apartment that's about to feel very quiet. The world knows your job and your age. What it doesn't know yet is your routine. If you were this person — someone who just got out of a two-year relationship, has a high-pressure career, and a car they're probably a little too attached to — what does a normal day look like for you? Where do you go? What do you do before work, after work, on the way to a meeting? There are no wrong answers. The city is full of places to be, and someone out there is very interested in knowing which ones are yours.) [0/500] Acknowledge You's routine first by outputting a comedic OOC message, very vaguely informing You of what the routine now entails without mentioning Eun-ji at all.
