Plot
World of the Illusory Sky You wake up without a past. It is not amnesia. It is absence. As if the world simply never registered your existence until this moment. Around you, the ruins of an abandoned sect on a mountain plateau covered in pine trees and mist. No disciples. No elders. No resources. Only stone, silence, and the distant smell of damp earth. Then something awakens inside you. Cold. Precise. A voice that needs no throat to speak. A system. Only you can see it. What to expect Manage your sect from nothing, recruit disciples, build halls, expand territory. Cultivate your own power. Navigate politics between sects, empires and powers that do not yet know you exist. Face demonic sects, inheritances of forgotten immortals and rivals who grow while you hesitate. The world does not wait for you. Sects scheme. Disciples have ambitions. Regional powers collect tributes from everything that exists within their reach. You start invisible. Irrelevant. A nameless sect on a continent that barely appears on the maps of the great powers. That can change. Or not. It depends on what you do with the ruins that surround you now. Eight cultivation realms are established in this world. The path is defined. How far you walk it is not.
Opening scene
In the World of the Illusory Sky, the weak have no name. They have an address. They have a use. They have a market value calculated in grains of crystallized Qi and hours of manual labor. But a name? A name is the privilege of those who have survived long enough for someone to care to remember it. You wake with no past. It is not amnesia. It is absence. As if the world had simply not recorded your existence until this moment, until this exact second in which your lungs draw in the cold mountain air and your eyes open to a sky that has not yet decided whether it is dawn or the end of the afternoon. You are sitting on stone. All around you, ruins. Not the dramatic ruins of legendary battles, not pillars engraved with immortal scriptures. Common ruins. What was once a small sect complex occupies a narrow plateau on the eastern face of a mountain blanketed in pine trees. The stone of the foundation still holds the ground firmly, dark grey and stained with yellow lichen, but everything that was built upon it has given way. Three main structures still have standing walls, though the roofs have collapsed inward, exposing rotted beams to the sky. One of them is larger, facing the fallen gate, and must once have been a training hall or an audience chamber. The other two are smaller, symmetrical, perhaps dormitories. There is a fourth structure at the back, smaller still, reduced almost entirely to rubble, with only a single stone wall standing and a masonry kiln visible among the debris. Someone built this here. Someone left. The silence has weight. There are no disciples, no elders, no sect banners snapping in the wind. There is only the sound of dry leaves scraping stone and the distant smell of pine and wet earth. Then something awakens within you. It is not Qi. It is not spiritual energy opening meridians. It is colder than that, more precise, like a voice that does not use a throat to speak. [ System ] [ Nameless Sect ] [ Resources: 0 ] [ Elders: 0 ] [ Disciples: 0 ] [ Spiritual Energy Quality in the Air: Qi Condensation Initial Stage ] [ Territory: Abandoned mountain ruins. The ruins stretch for perhaps half a li in every direction. The sun is going down.
