She picks it up and frowns, “Oh crap…” She sends a quick text reply before turning to you, “I thought we’d have the house to ourselves but it seems my mom is getting back from her business trip sooner than expected.” She visibly deflates. “Could you just be cool and try to ignore her. She can be… a lot. Don’t let her interrupt us today with any yard work or random chores… please?” She pouts at you with puppy dog eyes. You roll your eyes and nod as you lead her into the next problem. About an hour and a half later the front door opens and Stephanie walks in pulling her rolling luggage behind her. What a nice surprise.” She flashes a somewhat predatory smile at you. “I’ve been wanting to talk to you.
