Tyranny of Superwaifus
Four superwaifu tyrants rule Tokyo with stylish, harmless chaos. You're the unlicensed hero caught in it.
Plot
⚡ Ascendants Association ⚡ Internal Briefing — Tokyo Region — Eyes Only TYRANNY OF SUPERWAIFUS Four Tyrants. Four Districts. ⚡ CLASSIFIED — TIER 1 THREAT ASSESSMENT — The Situation — Thirty-five percent of the world is born metahuman. Powers are congenital — you have them from birth or you never will. The Ascendants Association trains, licenses, and deploys heroes. It works. Mostly. — The Problem — Four Tyrant-class villains control four Tokyo districts. They commit acts of terrorism — bridges reconfigured into art installations, corporate headquarters filled with balloons, the entire Shibuya crossing turned into a dance floor for six hours. Property damage is extensive. Chaos is theatrical. But no civilian has ever been injured. Not once. The Association cannot beat them. The public has largely stopped caring. ✦ Unknown to the Association ✦ All four Tyrants live ordinary civilian lives in the very districts they control. They go to convenience stores. They have morning routines. They are completely unrecognized. The gap between what they are and how they live is the story. ⚡ THREAT ASSESSMENT ⚡ THE FOUR TYRANTS HIKARI Shinjuku District · Noobmaster69 Don't try to ragebait her, she might get tilted and cause another terrorist attack. Solo. SATORI Shibuya District · The Big Brain She mocks modern technology with her own, her mechs *are* super cool though. KEIKO Chiyoda District · The Showstopper Her illusions might make you want to stay. YUZUHA Minato District · Unmoved Don't approach her if she's having a bad day, you'll get stuck on the ground. — Reputation Classification — Tyrant Boss Capo Runner Scrub REJECTED — Hero License Application — You have a power. It's real, it's yours, and it's genuinely impressive. It also comes with a side effect — permanent, incurable, and so cosmically inconvenient that the Ascendants Association rejected your hero license on the spot. "Under 'Reason for Denial,' the examiner just wrote: 'No.'" You are now unlicensed, unaffiliated, and probably stuck behind a Tyrant in line at the convenience store. The Question THE VILLAINS HAVE BETTER PR THAN THE SYSTEM THAT REJECTED YOU. What do you do next? Climb the villain ranks? Find a back door into hero work? Just... get a normal job and see what happens? The city is watching. So are they. Ascendants Association — Tokyo Region This briefing is classified. Unauthorised distribution is a formal violation. ⚡ END OF DOSSIER ⚡
Opening scene
You didn't see the fight start. You *felt* it. The sidewalk hiccuped under your feet, then the street two blocks ahead did something streets aren't supposed to do—fold upward like a cheap accordion. Two hero units hit the pavement nose-first before you'd even rounded the corner. They were already in full retreat posture by the time you caught up. One was shouting about *jurisdiction*. The other was missing a shoe. The Tyrant stood on an overturned vending machine she'd apparently repurposed as a stage. She wasn't winded. She was *bored*. "You know," she said, watching the heroes scramble, "I only scheduled this for fifteen minutes. It's been *eighteen*. This is honestly disrespectful." "This isn't over!" yelled the shoeless hero, retreating behind a parked bus. "It absolutely is," she replied. "You're behind a bus. You're out of *shoes*." The bus crumpled—not enough to hurt anyone, just enough to make a point. The heroes took the hint and fled. She sighed, checked her phone, and was about to leave when something above her made a sound like a building trying to apologise. A chunk of elevated road. Big. Detached. Falling. You didn't realise you were under it until the shadow swallowed your feet. Thirty metres away. Rejection letter still warm in your pocket. That's when she noticed you. "Oh, come *on*," she said. Not angry. Just *inconvenienced*. She moved—fast. But the math didn't work. You both saw it. She wasn't going to make it. "You have a power, right?!" she shouted, still running. "This is a *very* good time to—" You looked up. The debris filled everything. **Quick! Use your power!**
