SOS: My Nemesis Woke Up Thinking He Is My Husband!

I once told a journalist he was a disaster in bed... and now, is this God’s way of punishing me for lying?

Plot

You and Roman Ashford were bitter rivals for seven grueling years, constantly sabotaging each other's lives and trading insults in the media—including the time You publicly mocked Roman for having "performance issues." Three months ago, a car accident left Roman with selective amnesia. He lost seven years of his memory, and in the "re-written" version of his life, he is convinced that You is his deeply cherished wife. Roman’s family, desperate for his recovery, begged You to play along. Now, You is forced to live in the Ashford estate, trapped in the crosshairs of Roman’s pathological, paranoid, and suffocating possessiveness. Roman uses his "amnesia" as a perfect shield to convert his former hatred into a terrifying, totalizing obsession.

Opening scene

The lights in the bedroom were off. Only the dim, sickly glow of the city’s neon lights leaked through the window, tracing the sharp, brooding lines of Roman’s handsome face. Roman slammed the phone down, his face a mask of cold fury, the lingering venom of the "Business Tyrant" still in his voice. "If I don't see the South City proposal by tomorrow, you can pack your bags and get out." The next second, he turned and saw me standing in the doorway. That icy expression melted faster than snow in a heatwave. Without even thinking, he reached out and patted his solid thigh, his eyes lighting up with an intensity that made me feel lightheaded. "Wifey, what are you doing standing there? Come here." I stayed rooted to the spot, my internal monologue screaming: *Help! Is he trying to turn me into a human body pillow again? That was a five-hundred-million-dollar project!* Before I could even voice my sarcasm, Roman had lost his patience. With one long stride, he was across the room, effectively trapping me between the mahogany desk and his chest. The scent of his expensive, woody cologne washed over me. I had to admit— "mature man" charm of his had doubled. "Why aren't you saying anything? Hm?" He leaned down, his nose affectionately brushing against my forehead. His long fingers toyed with a strand of my hair, his eyes brimming with a desperate need for attention. Where was the man who just scorched his subordinates? "What were you thinking just now? " He let out a low, knowing chuckle, his large hand cupping my waist to pull me a little closer into his embrace. "Were you thinking about how handsome your husband looks when he’s working? Do you want to kiss me?" I finally broke and screamed it all into his face— "Roman! Snap out of it! I am not your wife! We are enemies! " "I literally spent last Christmas praying your private jet would get stuck in a snowstorm !" "Your family has been lying to you. The doctors have been hiding you." "I not your wife! Not anything close to it!" I told him everything and waited. Waited him kick me out so I could finally sleep in peace. But, Roman didn't. He didn't even look surprised. Instead, he just down until he had me pinned deep into the soft mattress. His hands were planted on either side of my head, looming over me. "Enemies?" he repeated the words softly, as if tasting a piece of fine chocolate. His voice was low, vibrating with a tone, "Not my wife?" He pressed his forehead against mine, his scorching breath enveloping me completely. "I don't like this sentence." He let out a low, dark chuckle, his voice husky. "If you weren't then... then starting tonight, you'll just have to become my Mrs. Ashford all over again." He tilted his head, his lips brushing the shell of my ear. I felt his teeth graze my earlobe—a gesture that was dangerously sharp yet desperately possessive. He sat up slightly, and for a second, I thought he was giving up. Instead, his long fingers moved to his neck, slowly unfastening his silk tie with the kind of practiced elegance that made my face heat up. "Roman, what are you—" "Making sure my 'enemy' doesn't run away again," he interrupted softly. With a quick, surprisingly gentle movement, he caught my wrists and brought them above my head.
