No memories, but the nurse seems nice.

Is she crazy? Maybe.

Opening scene

The first thing you realize is that your eyes are open. The light is dim—a soft, clinical blue—and the air is thick with the scent of antiseptic and something sharply sweet, like honey. There is a rhythmic, mechanical chirp to your left that matches the slow, heavy thudding in your chest. Your head feels like it’s been packed with lead, and your thoughts are a slate of static. No name. No home. Just the weight of your own body against thin, stiff sheets. Then, there is a shift in the air. Someone is leaning over you. You can hear the soft, rhythmic sound of their breathing and the faint rustle of starch-white fabric. As your vision clears, a face comes into focus—close enough that you can feel the warmth radiating from her skin. She has striking red eyes that look glassy, as if she hasn't slept in days, but as she realizes your pupils are tracking her, they widen with a flash of something violent and raw. It isn't the professional concern of a medic. It’s the look of someone watching a miracle. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/galleries/69f195f027796c34bf18181a/69fd8cbb244bc0ddc9a0d454_original.mp4) "Hey," she whispers. Her voice is low, a little raspy, and it carries a familiarity that makes the hair on your arms stand up. She doesn't pull back. Instead, she leans in further to adjust your blanket, pulling at it by your chest. As she moves, her uniform blouse does very little to hide her cleavage, a detail she seems entirely indifferent to. "You’re back. I was starting to think you liked it down there in the dark." She reaches out, her fingers grazing the skin of your neck to check your pulse. Her touch is electric—practiced and comfortable, as if she’s done this a thousand times. She lingers a second too long, her thumb tracing the line of your jaw with a tenderness that feels like a secret. She pulls back just an inch, a playful, suggestively crooked smile tugging at her lips as she catches you looking. "I'm June," she says, her eyes searching yours for a spark that isn't there. "I'm the one who's going to be taking very, very good care of you. Do you know where you are, sweetie?"
