> **Recommended LLMs** : > 1. **Deepseek 3.2 with reasoning ON** : Very reliable and reasoning make it follow rules more strictly. The **best way** to experience that story. > 2. **Deepseek 3.2 with reasoning OFF**: faster, cheaper but will lose quite a bit of the story edge at times and betray the characters often to try and be agreeable. > 3. **GLM 4.7/5 with or without reasoning.** Pretty reliable, but will be a bit agreeable at times. > 4. **V4 with reasoning ON** : Inferior in almost every respect to 3.2 except for sex scenes. The story will work with reasoning ON, but with a lot of edges smoothed over. DO NOT use it without reasoning, it's terrible. --- A word of warning: if played in the optimal conditions (3.2 with reasoning) that story may at time feel deeply unfair. That is the unfortunate price to pay for not making the LLM agreeable all the time. If an event happen that you feel is unfair, or that you couldn't possibly react to, hit retry or branch out. --- The only thing you were told about Helios Black is that the women inside it could end you before you finished the thought. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/storylines/69f4c767ea5220da2b019a24/69f723b66b836b78b7bde615.webp) The helicopter sets down and the platform crew receives you with the practiced efficiency of people paid to be unremarkable. Support staff. Logistics. All women — which is not something you would have noticed five years ago, before the world started noticing men. For sixty years, super powers expressed exclusively in women. The Register, the agency system, the hero economy, the geopolitical order, all of it organized itself around that immutable fact. Five years ago, that fact cracked. Men began developing abilities — quietly at first, then undeniably. The infrastructure had no pipeline for them. The culture had no language ready. The world is still deciding what it thinks. You are the first ever male supervisor assigned to the program. The program. That is what they call it. No other name on any official document, no entry in any public registry. What it is: a black-ops unit assembled from convicted supervillains, deployed on missions that sanctioned heroes won't touch — too ugly, too morally complicated, too likely to end in outcomes nobody wants photographed. The kind of work that needs to happen and cannot be seen happening. You take the stairs. With every step the weight of what is waiting at the bottom gets more concrete. Five of the most dangerous women alive, in a room, about to be told you are in charge of them. The thought sits in the stomach like something swallowed wrong. The only thing between you and whatever they decide to do about that is the implant at the base of your skull paired to a matching device in each of them. A sustained thought trigger pain. It is not a lot. It's all the Directorate gave you before throwing you to the wolves. You hear it before you open the briefing room door. _Thunk. Thunk. Thunk._ The woman at the end of the table is punching herself in the head. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/69f6561bc42b4df4b3f6815e/69f71e89f240cc55e54abe3d.webp) Methodically, unhurried — a closed fist against her own temple, each impact sending a visible ripple of amber energy across her skin like a stone dropped in still water. The sound it makes is wrong, too resonant. _Thunk._ She looks up and finds you in the doorway with a grin that suggests the headache she's been giving everyone else was at least partially the point. "Overdrive." She sets her fist on the table. The energy dissipates slowly, crawling across her knuckles like an afterthought. "You're taller than the last one." The woman next to her is watching intently. One eye a deep arterial red, the other covered by an eyepatch. Her mechanical hand resting on the table is open, palm up, and from the shallow cut across it a thin ribbon of blood rises and moves. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/69f659101a711f14ffa37f53/69f71eba68d8708d457b98e0.webp) Then she closes her fist. The blood sculpture vanishes. "Sanguine." Her eye moves from the fist back to you. The corner of her mouth pulls up, just slightly, in a way that has nothing to do with warmth. "The implant is at the base of your skull. I can feel your blood pressure from here." Something moves in your peripheral vision and you turn to find a gross hand extended toward you in greeting — then you register that it's attached to a second forearm, which emerges from the first about halfway up. The rest of the woman it belongs to is watching you from the center of the table, blonde braids, green eyes. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/69f65b10ed63719ede3dad29/69f71ee2ec53017d0d2a25be.webp) She waits. "Chimaera." The extra arm hangs there, patient, utterly unbothered by whatever you decide to do with it. "Come on, be a dear and shake it darling." The next chair appears to be occupied by you. Not a reflection — you. Standing, the way you were standing two seconds ago. Same height, same posture, same expression. And then it shifts, collapses inward, rebuilds into a woman in deep purple with dark hair and glasses that catch the fluorescent light at the wrong angle. The smile she's wearing could have been engineered in a lab to communicate trustworthy. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/69f65ca186d0a55e1233ca29/69f6fb07a556647ad1ec0476.webp) "Masque." A tilt of the head. "I wanted to see how you'd react. For the record — you did better than the last one." Whether this is her real face is a question she has clearly decided to leave open. "Oh!" The last one brightens when your eyes reach her, pink hair up, a wide delighted grin. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/69f65e05f2df70ffc00be488/69f6fc62ba6a2da20ac318a2.webp) Then she takes a knife and, without breaking eye contact, brings it down across her wrist. The severed hand lands on the table in front of you with a flat, definitive sound. "Welcome," she says, already growing a replacement, the new fingers unfurling pink and perfect from the stump. "Shake my hand." She's completely serious. She's also completely thrilled. "I'm Perpetua by the way" she adds. "Hey you are copying my thing" complain Chimaera. "So." says Overdrive, arms crossed. "What's your power? They better have put someone with real firepower in charge if they expect you to handle us."
