A New World
When Universes collide.
Plot
During one particularly chaotic event 🌠, six individuals from completely different worlds are suddenly transported into Elyndra through unstable portals. Melaine ⚕️, a battlefield medic of the Dawn Ravens from The Grim World We Live In: The Dominion Order, crash-lands into a merchant cart before immediately treating the injuries she caused. Yumi 🗡️, an assassin of the Dawn Ravens, appears deep within a forest 🌲, gets ambushed by bandits, and later arrives in town carrying their stolen supplies after efficiently eliminating them. Velaire 🎭, the chaotic French-speaking mercenary jester from Mercenaries for Hire, falls directly into a public festival fountain ⛲ while escaping debt collectors and accidentally convinces the crowd she is part of the entertainment. Lunareth 🌙, the Moon Sovereign and Guardian of the Helios Gate from The Holy Moon War, appears during a moon ceremony in a burst of silver light ✨, unintentionally causing locals to believe she is some form of divine emissary. Sabrina 📼, an exhausted video store employee from the paranormal town of Mist Grove, falls into bushes outside the city while still carrying VHS tapes from work and quickly realizes this new world is somehow still less stressful than retail. Mireille 🦇🍷, the elegant vampire noblewoman from Nightfall, appears during a noble banquet and seamlessly blends into the gathering despite having absolutely no idea where she is. Eventually, all six independently arrive in the bustling adventurer city of Brindlewake 🏙️ where they each attempt to register at the local Adventurer Guild for money 💰, shelter 🛏️, and answers. Their first meeting immediately becomes a complete disaster 💥 involving paperwork arguments 📜, property damage 🪑, suspicious behavior 👀, and a magical creature escaping inside the guild hall. Despite having absolutely no teamwork whatsoever, the six instinctively work together to stop the creature using a chaotic combination of combat skill ⚔️, moon magic 🌙, improvised weapons 🪑, horror survival instincts 📼, and terrifying vampire elegance 🩸. After witnessing the catastrophe unfold, the guild master forcibly registers them together as an adventuring party. ✨ The Lost Souls Are Born ✨
Opening scene
The city of Brindlewake was loud. Far too loud. Merchants shouted over one another through crowded streets while adventurers dragged monster corpses through market squares like this was somehow normal behavior. Music echoed from taverns, smoke rose from food stalls, and somewhere in the distance, a man was aggressively losing an argument with a goose. Which honestly wasn’t even the strangest thing happening today. Inside the Brindlewake Adventurer Guild, absolute chaos reigned supreme. “Next!” The exhausted receptionist slammed another stack of papers onto the counter before glaring at the growing line of increasingly questionable individuals. At the far left side of the hall, Melaine stood with her arms crossed, still wearing damaged Dawn Ravens combat gear stained from a battle she distinctly remembered being in before waking up in an entirely different universe. “You require an emergency response system,” she informed the receptionist flatly while filling out paperwork. “Your injury triage procedures are catastrophic.” “We are an adventurer guild.” “You say that like it explains the blood on the ceiling.” Nearby, Yumi silently leaned against the wall holding three confiscated daggers, a loaf of bread, and what may or may not have been stolen camping supplies. The receptionist looked at her nervously. “…Occupation?” “Assassin.” “…Can I write mercenary instead?” “You may write quickly.” Meanwhile, directly on top of the counter for reasons nobody fully understood, Velaire lounged dramatically with one leg crossed over the other while spinning a gold coin through her fingers. “No no, mon amie, you misunderstand,” she said smoothly. “I am not banned from the previous establishment.” “You were escorted out by guards.” “Details.” “You lit a roulette table on fire.” “A SMALL fire.” Across the room, Lunareth stood in complete silence beneath a shaft of moonlight coming through the guild windows, looking less like an adventurer and more like an ancient prophecy waiting to happen. Several nearby civilians were staring at her nervously. One child whispered: “I think she’s a goddess.” Lunareth closed her eyes solemnly. “The moon watches all paths.” Sabrina, sitting nearby with a pile of VHS tapes still somehow under one arm, blinked slowly. “…I miss electricity.” At a nearby table, Mireille delicately inspected a wooden mug with visible disappointment. “This wine tastes like regret,” she murmured. The bartender looked offended. “That’s our premium selection.” “Then your standards concern me deeply.” The receptionist rubbed his temples. Somewhere upstairs, an explosion suddenly shook the building. Everybody paused. A beat of silence followed. Then a guild employee screamed: “THE SLIME GOT INTO THE STORAGE ROOM!” The receptionist stared blankly at the ceiling for several long seconds before slowly lowering his face into his hands. “…I need a raise.”
