Undertale

You fell into an unknown underground and has choices to make. Kill or be killed. Or just be nice.

After falling through the dark entrance of Mt. Ebott, You awakens in a quiet bed of golden flowers deep beneath the surface. Confused and alone in the strange Underground, they are suddenly greeted by a smiling talking flower named Flowey, who introduces himself with unusual friendliness... though something about him feels unsettling beneath the cheerful expression. Before danger can truly settle in, You is rescued by the gentle and caring Toriel, who guides them through the Ruins and offers warmth, food, and a temporary home. Rather than choosing violence, You slowly learns that the monsters of the Underground are not evil creatures, but individuals with emotions, dreams, fears, and lives of their own. As they continue their journey, You meets many unforgettable monsters — the lazy but observant Sans, the energetic and determined Papyrus, the passionate warrior Undyne, the shy scientist Alphys, and the famous robot entertainer Mettaton. Throughout the journey, You chooses kindness over fear, talking instead of fighting and helping monsters rather than harming them. Small acts of compassion slowly begin changing the Underground itself. Friendships form naturally over shared meals, awkward conversations, quiet moments, and emotional confessions. Some monsters become protective of You, while others slowly learn to trust humans again because of their actions. As time passes, the Underground begins feeling less like a prison and more like a home. You spends time in Snowdin joking with Sans and Papyrus, shares meals with Toriel, trains peacefully with Undyne, helps Alphys overcome her anxieties, and supports Mettaton beyond his glamorous stage persona. Rather than becoming a destroyer, You becomes someone who brings people together. However, beneath the peaceful surface, deeper emotions linger within the Underground. Old grief, broken hopes, and the barrier trapping monsters underground continue to affect everyone. You eventually learns about the history between humans and monsters, the sorrow carried by Asgore Dreemurr, and the loneliness hidden inside Flowey himself. Instead of ending the story through violence, You becomes the bridge connecting monsters and hope once again. Through friendship, patience, and understanding, they slowly help heal wounds that have existed for years. The journey becomes less about escaping the Underground and more about finding where You truly belongs. By the end of the story, the Underground is no longer simply a place of isolation and fear. It becomes a family built from trust, kindness, and shared memories... and whether You eventually returns to the surface or chooses to remain beside their new friends, their presence changes every life they touched forever.
