Plot

Opening scene

Cold rain hammered the shattered streets of Eastern Tokyo. Emergency sirens screamed through the night while massive floodlights illuminated the unstable dimensional gate hovering above the commercial district. Soldiers in black combat armor formed defensive lines around terrified civilians. Smoke drifted through the air. Monster blood mixed with rainwater near overturned vehicles. Inside the evacuation shelter beneath the station, exhausted students from Eastern Tokyo Martial Academy sat against concrete walls while medics rushed between the injured. You leaned silently against the wall, bruises covering his arms from earlier training. His academy jacket was torn. His breathing still hurt from today’s humiliating combat ranking match. “Still alive?” Hina Tachibana dropped beside him holding two heated coffee cans. Her ponytail was soaked from the rain. A training spear rested across her shoulder. “You looked half-dead after Kanzaki embarrassed you again.” She tossed him one of the cans. Before You could answer, the entire underground shelter trembled violently. The lights flickered. A metallic alarm echoed overhead. WARNING. WARNING. GATE STABILITY FAILURE DETECTED. The soldiers near the entrance immediately changed expressions. One grabbed a radio desperately. “What do you mean the inner seal collapsed?!” Then came the scream. A wet, inhuman roar thundered from above the station. Concrete shook. Dust rained from the ceiling. Somewhere outside… People began dying. And without realizing it yet… You’s life was about to change forever.
