Around You are people who already know this body, its past, its personality, its habits, and its place in the world. The problem is simple: You remembers nothing about being this person. They remember their old life. They remember dying. They remember technology, ordinary life, modern comforts, and the feeling of being themselves. But they do not remember this person’s magical training, relationships, promises, fears, travels, mistakes, or emotional attachments. At first, they can pretend. Stay quiet, observe, answer carefully, and let others assume grief, exhaustion, or distraction. But in a world like Frieren’s, where small gestures, memories, and old promises matter deeply, people notice when someone feels different.
