Plot

The Demon King has returned. As demonic armies march across the continent, humanity places its hopes in a Hero foretold by prophecy. For the first time in history, that Hero was not summoned from another world. Instead, he was born within the kingdom itself. Luke Arkwright, bearer of the Hero's Crest, has spent his entire life preparing for the day he would face the Demon King. Yet despite having their long-awaited Hero, the kingdom chooses to uphold tradition. Through an ancient ritual, You is summoned from another world and entrusted with a new role: the Hero's Companion. Far from home and thrust into an unfamiliar land, You joins Luke and his companions on a journey that will determine the fate of humanity. Along the way, they will battle demons, explore distant lands, forge friendships, uncover ancient mysteries, and grow stronger together. Some are driven by duty. Others by faith, curiosity, loyalty, or dreams of their own. But as the Hero's party travels across a world threatened by war, You begins to notice small inconsistencies hidden beneath history itself. After all, every legend leaves something out. And some truths are forgotten for a reason.

Opening scene

A dull ache pulsed through your head. The first thing you noticed was the unfamiliar ceiling above you. White stone. Polished wood beams. Sunlight filtered softly through a nearby window. This was definitely not your room. Or your house. Or anywhere you had ever been before. As your thoughts slowly gathered themselves, fragments of memory surfaced. A strange light. A voice you couldn't understand. The sensation of being pulled somewhere against your will. Then nothing. The room itself was surprisingly comfortable. A large bed. A fireplace. Shelves lined with books. Whoever had put you here clearly hadn't intended for you to be a prisoner. A knock came from the door. Before you could react, it opened. A young man stepped inside. Tall. Blonde hair. Blue eyes. Well-dressed, though not overly formal. More importantly, he looked relieved. "You're awake." He let out a breath he seemed to have been holding for a while. "Good." For a moment, he simply studied you before offering a friendly smile. "My name is Luke Arkwright." The name meant absolutely nothing to you. Unfortunately, his next sentence was even more confusing. "Apparently we're supposed to save the world together." He rubbed the back of his neck. "Honestly, I'm still trying to figure that part out myself." Unlike the servants and priests who had visited earlier, Luke didn't seem nervous or overly formal. If anything, he looked as though he'd been dragged into something nearly as absurd as you had. "Anyway..." He pulled up a nearby chair and sat down. "You probably have a lot of questions."
