Instead, time stopped. A blue light filled your vision. A voice spoke from everywhere and nowhere at once. And when you opened your eyes again... The world was no longer the same. The Guardian Angel had chosen you. A contract had been formed. You had become a Magical Girl. Mana & Magic Mana exists within everything. Flowing through the air. Resting within the earth. Drifting through oceans, cities, forests, and people. Most never notice it. Magical Girls can. They can see mana. Shape mana. Command mana. Magic begins as imagination. A spell starts as a thought. An image. A possibility. The stronger the image... the stronger the magic. The Magical Girls For more than sixty years, magical girls have protected humanity. They fight monsters born from stagnant mana. Some are beasts. Some are kaiju. Some can level cities. The first Magical Girl appeared in 1962. The world never returned to normal. Heroism as an Industry Magical Girls are more than heroes. Rescuers. Celebrities. Actors. Streamers. Brand Ambassadors. Disaster Specialists. Some appear on magazine covers one day... and fight kaiju the next. Licensing To prevent abuse of magic, Magical Girls are regulated. Graduates earn licenses. Licensed girls receive protection. Those who reject registration become: Rogues.Vigilantes.Outcasts. Mado Island An enormous academy complex built across multiple islands. Training Islands. Classroom Islands. Examination Islands. Opening scene

1/1/2026 | TUESDAY | MORNING | GRAND HALL, MADO ISLAND MSQ1, TGQ1 The Grand Hall of the Prestigious Magical Girl Academy stretches before you like a cathedral of glass and marble. Sunlight streams through towering stained-glass windows depicting legendary magical girls in battle, casting colored patterns across the polished floor where dozens of first-years stand in nervous clusters. Your heart hammers beneath your uniform. It still feels unreal. A week ago you were an ordinary girl walking home from school. A week ago you saw that truck barreling toward the crossing, saw the young girl frozen in the middle of the road with a dropped ice cream cone melting at her feet. You don't remember deciding to run. You only remember the impact that never came—the world stopping, a warm light enveloping you, and a voice that seemed to come from everywhere at once. *"Such a pure wish. Such selfless courage."* When you opened your eyes, a glowing blue orb with diamond-shaped angular wings hovered before you, pulsing like a heartbeat made of starlight. The Guardian Angel. It spoke of contracts and duties, of monsters and magic, of an academy where girls like you learned to protect the world. Your parents had cried when they received the letter. Your mother had held you too tight, whispering about how proud and terrified she was. Your father had packed your bags three times, adding extra snacks, a first-aid kit, and a handwritten note that read *"Come home anytime. We love you."* Now you stand in the Grand Hall, surrounded by strangers who will become your classmates, as a woman with long black hair and gentle violet eyes steps onto the podium. She wears flowing grey robes decorated with star motifs, and her warm smile makes the entire room feel a little less intimidating.  "Good morning, everyone. I am Astra Hoshizora, Magia Cosmo, and I will be your homeroom teacher this year." Her voice is soft but carries effortlessly across the hall. Beside her stands a figure with rainbow-colored hair that shifts through shades of pink, blue, and gold, holding an ornate staff decorated with stars and crystals.  "This is Yuna Chae, my teaching assistant. He will be helping you adjust to academy life, so please treat him kindly." Yuna offers a small wave, his multicolored eyes crinkling with warmth. "Nice to meet you all. I hope we have a wonderful year together." Astra gestures toward a doorway behind her. "Now, please follow me to Classroom 1A. We have much to do on your first day." The classroom is bright and spacious, with large windows overlooking the academy courtyard. Desks are arranged in four rows of five. Students file in one by one, taking seats with the awkward hesitation of strangers who will soon become something more. Astra stands at the front, clasping her hands together. "Let's begin with introductions, shall we? We'll go one by one. Just your name and something about yourself." A girl with long pastel-pink twin tails rises first, her blue eyes sparkling with barely contained energy. Her smile is warm, genuine, and somehow makes you feel like everything will be okay.  Belle: "Hi everyone! I'm Belle Amour, Magia Strawberry! I love helping people, strawberries, and making new friends! I hope we can all get along wonderfully!" Then, a girl with short crimson hair tied into a messy side ponytail raises her hand energetically, practically bouncing in her chair.  Ember: "I'm Ember Akiyama! Magia Flare! I love fighting monsters and protecting people! Nice to meet you all!" She grins wide, amber eyes glowing with excitement. A quiet voice follows from across the room. A small girl with long white hair tinted pale blue stands hesitantly, a pale blue butterfly fluttering nervously around her shoulder.  Sayu: "I-I'm Sayu Shirayuki... Magia Ao... I like quiet places and... um... I'll do my best not to be a burden..." A girl with long purple hair fading into pink lets out a soft sigh from two rows behind, magenta eyes half-lidded with amusement.  Niko: "Niko Hanamizuki. Magia Bloom. I predict things." She pauses, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. "For example, I predict this is going to be an interesting class." A small hand shoots up immediately after, attached to a girl with black-and-orange twin tails practically vibrating with energy.  Mimi: "Mimi Tang! Magia Tangerine! I'm gonna be the coolest magical girl ever, just wait and see!" She pumps a fist in the air, then immediately turns to Belle with sparkling eyes. "Hey, your hair is so pretty! How do you get it to shine like that?!" A girl with ash-brown hair and a completely neutral expression speaks next, her voice flat but not unfriendly.  Caillín: "Caillín Moriarty. Magia Flora. I like hunting, conservation, and burgers. I hope the cafeteria has good food." A blonde girl with extravagant twin-drill curls elegantly rises, smoothing her uniform as if addressing a board meeting.  Genevieve: "Genevieve Ashcroft. Magia Gold." Her golden eyes sweep the room with practiced confidence. "I intend to become the most successful magical girl in history. Financially speaking, of course. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." Finally, a pale girl with silver hair and dull gray eyes speaks last, her voice soft and almost disinterested. A black halo-like ring floats lazily above her head.  Syn: "Syn Aster. Magia Null. ...I stream sometimes. You can follow me if you want." Astra nods approvingly before her gaze shifts—and lands on you. Astra: "You, it's your turn — would you introduce yourself?"
